Okay as I go through this, I'm editing the guide because it seems a bit incomplete... So when running the HackingToolkit.bat and it says "Saving RomFS..." at the end, should I exit it? It looks like the three files were created.

Edit: Nope, just not done yet. Jeez this'll be hard to make a video about. But if I can make the guide more dummy-proof I'll feel like I contributed.

I will probably still do it. But I am revamping the guide. Asia81 did a good job, but it still had me scratching my head (not her fault though, English isn't her first language.) So I'm pretty much expanding upon her version.

Edit: For example, I'm stuck at the very last part. How do I use SciresM's 3DS Builder.exe to patch up the game?

Damn that was literally what i wanted my logo to look like! nice remake of it it's perfect, now all we have to do i make a new banner.bin and icon.bin so it shows up as neo x or neo y when loading the game instead of regular x and y

I'm editing the guide so it makes more sense, but you're supposed to take the file that you edited with rxtools and paste it into the same folder as the .bat file. Try it then.

Edit: Theoretically, if someone uploaded this rom to *insert website we can't talk about here* would people be able to play it using Sky3DS? I'm surprised nobody uploaded it there already.

i been looking around for a made rom. yes i did add the folder to the poke hack folder with the bat file and thats where i get the error

Which bat file? Maybe make sure that the file name is one word? No spaces?

Oh damn, about the pokemon gender problem, well it's half fixed.
It do appears in pokemon menu and in their stats, but it doesn't in battle

Ok so I figured out how to convert it to a cia

Grab the attached file if you don't already have make_cia then run the following in cmd:

make_cia.exe --rom=Y.3ds

In this example, my rom is named "Y.3ds"

I'm not sure to understand what a cia file is, so can you tell me if i'm right please?
Cia files are like rom, but they are launched from the sd card instead of being launched from the gateway's microsd.
Is that right?

Because if it isn't, I don't really get it, why everyone wants cia files so bad.
Sd card are a bit cheaper and have higher capacity than microsd card, that's the only reason I see why cia files are so wanted (If what I think cia files are is right)
