Hey guys i have the n3ds xl and it is on sysnand 9.0 and i use emunand 9.4 on it with GW card.

after i used the new Gateway Update , to get the profile settings EXPLOIT !
my super stable 3d settings is gone... in both Sys and Emunand no more SuperStable 3d settings!

and i encounter some strange flickery top screen issues lately :( and only a shut down helps it recover.

one time also when i turned it on the 3D started on boot ! even though the slider was all the way down.

and the 3D looked very very weird like super glossy.. what the hell is going on with it !?

is there a way to update the settings in both Sys/Emunand to get the SuperStable 3D settings back :( !? Anyone !?

yes that is normal for your super stable settings to now be gone, because this MSET exploit downgrades your settings app back to the original 3ds settings from system 4.5 (long before N3ds) but you installed it to your emunand too and i also messed up on that on my first time. you were supposed to use another SD for with NO EMUnand Setup and install the MSET to your SYSnand ONLY and then place your sd back in.
your not supposed to use SYSnand for anything but loading the exploit and then in EMUnand you Should have had your N3ds normal settings.
so in short you need to install back the N3ds settings.cia to your EMUnand

also, Us N3ds have a small glitch with 3d in emunand mode (on gateways hands) to fix once your in emunand mode simply close and reopen your N3ds and the 3d fixes

"strange flickery..."

That's always happened. Close and open the system and it fixes itself.

yes i think i installed it on emunand too i think.. the umm well i forgot about the whole procedure already...

but in the end when i got it to work was using two sd cards :L ..

bro can i safely use some cia to install it on both Sys and Emunand to get the super stable 3d back ? where can i find the settings cia . Google LOL !?

one thing i forgot to ask, is it safe to use the Settings cia to upgrade the settings app!? like will my Emunand and Cia's be unaffected ??

one more edit, mate i have this file already. is this the one i need to install ?

"N3DS9.0.0-20U_to_9.5.0-23U through Cia installation"

(I am on 9.0 Sysnand)

Just reinstall the updated mset on your emunand with 3dsnus and devmenu

FYI, with Gateway ultra 3.2.1, you don't need to swap SD cards anymore to boot into sysnand. Just hold L while booting gateway card to get into the menu (as it normally auto boots emunand if you start it with the gateway card inserted), then hold B and while holding B hit A. You'll see a confirmation menu. Let go of B and then hit X.

There you go. You can then boot into sysnand. ;)

is there a specific thread for the proceedures !? i found the 3dsnus thread , hm i will look into it.

dont wanna brick my 3ds ; n ;

You can't brick your console with this.
Like I said use 3dnus to download the updated system settings (I gave the title id/version for each region) : https://gbatemp.net/threads/3dnus.376488/
Put the cia in your sd card, go to the emunand, and install it with with devmenu (no bbm).
You can do the same in sysnand if you want to revert it back.

If you made a backup of emuNand before starting this procedure, just restore that backup and you're good to go. If you didn't, then you can use 3DNUS to grab a more recent version of System Settings and install it to emuNand to restore the settings. (There are guides that go into more detail, I don't really have a lot of knowledge on this procedure.) You should NOT install that to sysNand, as it would undo the work of downgrading and opening the MSET exploit. You should also not use System Settings > Update System, because that will grab 9.7, and Gateway only supports up to 9.5 on emuNand for New 3DS currently.

Edit: And I totally forgot I left this window open and didn't refresh, so a bunch of other people already gave more and better info.

I did the same mistake. It's Gateway fault ! They should provide clear instructions on their website.
@OP you can use 3DNUS and devmenu to restore system settings on Emunand it's pretty straightforward.

It wasn't a mistake, you weren't supposed to take out your microSD like people stated, Gateway put in a whole new feature so you didn't have to do that(Holding B to boot into Sysnand).

No, you WERE supposed to remove the microSD or use a different microSD BEFORE 3.2.1. Their initial guide was screwed up
