Found some fatal error in program...
Try reproduce:
Add some image-files (I add *.WBFS)
Go to "Options>Settings>Titles"
Switch on "Allow permament changes to Wii disc header"
Press OK
F2 on any item... change name of the game, press Enter
Remove all
Try to add this image again

PS Image now is damaged!
Because WBM write on wrong place from 00 address in header (erase first bytes) enstead x200000 address

PPS How to repair?:
Open in hex editor and edit first 7 bytes
4 bytes contain text "WBFS"
Than 1 byte contain x00
Than 2 bytes contain size of image (size in kilobites/128)
for example size of file is 2,867,200Kb
2867200/128=22400 (in hex its x5780) -

And after repair you will see next bytes:
57 42 46 53 00 57 80 00

PPS Before I found this error in WBM I "rename" near 300 images :(
Half part Im already repair manualy :((( shit

This. I renamed a bunch of games with this app because the release notes said that the HUGE issue was fixed and now they are all corrupt. Can someone explain a bit better how to fix them? These instructions don't make a lot of sense to me.

Check the log tab in Wii Backup Manager. It should tell you what's going on. I've never seen it not transfer games. If the name shows up in green in the progress box it should be there. Maybe your drive or enclosure is incompatible? You didn't mention what they were.
I switched to NTFS, much less trouble.

Question about Wii games that have more than one disc, specifically Dragon Quest X Online - Mesamashi Itsutsu no Shuzoku [S4MJGD]

Am I able to scrub this and still us it? It has 2 discs and when I went to scrub them both discs came up with the same ID: S4MJGD, and promptly over wrote itself.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions for this to work scrubbed?

Get a big enough USB, or just format to NTFS like I did.
Try to use the discs that wrote over themselves, and post here with the results.

Multidisc games are supposed to have the same title ID because they're the same title. There is a flag in the header that indicates which disc it is.

You just need to move the first disc image somewhere else before you rip/scrub/whatever the second one. I'm honestly not sure how you should name them for a USB loader, though.

Xenoks: NTFS is not a suitable solution for many people. You cannot access homebrew apps or Gamecube games from it.

I don't know if DQX works with USBLoader.
you would need cIOS based on IOS59, is that even an option in d2x installer?
You will also need to format an HDD to official Wii HDD format (and no, you can't use the same drive to host both the backups and the data)

I know some users managed to play that game from backup, but I don't know how and didn't really tried to learn how.

I don't see anything in d2x regarding support for IOS59. It's not available on NUS either. It would have to be extracted from the disc, but there would still be no way to patch it. It does not need the discs after installing as far as I know, though, so theoretically you would only need to install the IOS and have an extra flash drive for the game install.

The IOS contains the encryption function for the drive.
To read the backup ISO from USB you need to patch the IOS.

you may not need the disc to play the game, but you will need them to install the data to WiiHDD, and cIOS to launch the game as wbfs format.

but like I said, I didn't try to do it as I don't have that game.
other users managed to do it and could help.

Hey guys, I just formatted my whole wii HDD to FAT32 from NTFS so it can hold Gamecube games. And I'm using Wii backup Manager to now transfer my games from my PC HD to the formatted drive, they're all transfering over and except for one, Super Smash Bros Brawl, this is also the only rip of the lot that is partition GO (no idea if this makes a difference or even what it means) and the only one that is over 4gb, so it'd have to be split. Any idea on how I can remedy this?

And can I now just rip games in USBLoader GX and it will automatically created 2 part files on the install, if it is over 4gb?

You want to keep the game and "other" partition from SSBB. Any games that are over 4gb will work fine in wbfs file format, there's an option in Wii Backup Manager to split them up and all of the Wii loaders can handle them. You should always be able to leave out the "U" (update) partition.

Yes, GX will automatically create split files if you're using FAT32. There were a couple of games that it doesn't rip properly for some reason but I cannot recall what they are at the moment.

Users reported Sonic (don't remember which one) and SSBB having dumping issues from USBLoaderGX.
I don't know why sonic...

SSBB could be because it has multiple partitions, be sure to select "ALL partition" or "Remove update" only.
Do not select "Game partition only" in the USBLoaderGX>hdd settings or you will miss the wiiware preview from SSBB.

I have SSBB PAL, I can try to dump it and see the result.

Hi GreyWolf, I see you updated your GCN tool. Nice.
Are you planning on adding "installing" capabilities? (Like WBM). Now that you're accessing GameTDB for names it would be nice adding that.
Also, what does it mean if a game doesn't match GameTDB's name? (See attachment)
The game is on their DB AFAIK.
I guess it's no big deal though... Cause Redump matches.
Thanks.

That means that MD5 hash wasn't found in GameTDB's data for that game.
Redump: 1e23afc69bff50a7d20f32c5b739dc06
GameTDB: d8e4d45af2032a081a0f446384e9261b

In this case it looks like GameTDB's hash for OoT Master Quest is actually the hash for Wind Waker. :P
The hash checker does use GameTDB's name for the data grid if there is one.

I'm working on another utility to manage GC game folders but it still needs some work.

Looking forward to your other app. I'm guessing it will "replace" this one?

It has the verification in it, too, but it also copies/renames the folders, etc. It will also let you rearrange Wii channels copied to SD card from the system menu.

Thanks. Yes, I have both discs on my HDD. I labeled one "- Disc 1" before scrubbing the 2nd disc, then labeled that one "- Disc 2". I'll just try loading it up through CFG USB Loader and see what happens. If you're right it'll just look for the correct disc as needed.

Changing the title of a game in wbfs format causes the file to be corrupt.
You can rename the title in an iso, that works.
So I have to convert the wbfs to iso, rename the title, then convert back to wbfs.
Please look into it; thanks.
