Hacking When will be an update for Prometeus CFW?

I'm asking because i don't know where can i find others CFW's for my N3DS, i'm looking for a Gateway and i found some sellers that maybe in a future i can buy one, but i rather use a CFW, first, for comodity, second, because i like to experiment with my console, a Gateway is just a tool to play games (primarily), and i know there are some emulators for the 3DS aswell (SNES,NES,Gameboy,etc.), but i would like the release of something like Neogamma 3DS or CFG SD Loader for 3DS, something like that, programs with progressing updates and features, like the possibility of using 3D (Blue & Red) or fixing some games on internal,etc. Functions that you can use on your 3DS without buying a Gateway or any flashcard for this one.

I repeat, anyone has updates, info, anything about this, or any other CFW that allows me to use games in CIA format?, because i'm curious, very curious about those details.

He's probably just mixed up with palantine cfw. If that's the case then I don't think any other releases than just one.

There will probably never be 3ds rom loader for the 3ds, no point in asking if there is one available for it.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Palentine works on New3DS? O.O

NTR-CFW is good for hacking games (Like Riivolution for the Wii) but can't load ROMs or anything.

I think you might be giving some noobs a mistaken hope...... There's no CFW that can load ROMS..... CIA's yeah....

Anyway back to topic, sadly there will be very unlikely an update to the current CFW was the original source of the CFW was leaked. And the main programmer decided not to improve on it anymore. Unless someone figures it out and wants to be blamed for the upcoming blame game on 3DS piracy........

So basically your saying someone on this earth must be smart enough to make it AND have big enough balls to release it? I don't think making a CFW 9.2 on N3DS to play illegal games would be that difficult at this point if Gateway and Sky can both play illegal games on the latest firmware. I think it may be either be A: Money or B: Current scene hackers like the popularity they have.

So right now our situation is like this:
To pirate 3ds games you must pay $75-$100 = Gateway+Sky get money
Ninjhax/Regon4/Homebrews = Hacker Scene get Popularity
4.5 CFW = Everyone wins(sorry nintendo)

I don't know, the potential in piracy in the Wii U is strong enough to catch the attention of the Cobra Team (By releasing in a future the U Ode, which is like the Cobra Ode for the PS3), the Vita has a potential in homebrew far better and more updated than the psp, and sooner or later there will be a possible loader for Vita isos so, the possibility of a New CFW for the 3DS is highly possible, since the maximum capability of the 3DS outside of games has not reach it's limits yet, and to run those programs you will need more of a CFW than a flashcard because working with the system itself is more manageable.

Kinda like the PSP, before, people used Chips to run games on that, after time passed the scene of this increased and is now considered the most hacked consoel of all time (Without counting the Wii and the DS, of course) since it's capabilities has reached new doors to the scene piracy, not only with that console, if not with others!, so, if someone in this planet has the "balls" to create an update for a new CFW able to run 3DS games, even in other formats, that would be the first step, the other one would be increasing the capabilities of the 3DS, like hacking the data of the Amiibos to use it on the 3DS, and practically control all of it, it would be sweet as a marshmallow (If it's possible, to make the CFW easier to install, the one posted before it's a pain in the a** to install), so, potential in piracy here, i see a lot i must say!

Yeah, but that's hardware based rom loading, not software based rom loading. Two different loading processes.

The Wii has piracy between the 2007-2008 where people knew how to hack that console, and that is recent because the console launched at the end of 2006, November & December of 2006, and it wasn't even a handheld console, it was a home console which in theory is harder to modify and pirate, so, you're telling me that a person who manage to update an already existing CFW, of a console who has only 4 years old in release will be jailed by Nintendo?, that's a little of nonsense, if the person who come up with the early piracy of the Wii or team managed to do that back then, why not now?, the laws aren't different, and there's the Gateway and Sky 3DS so, why not nintendo send an email to those teams that sell that product?, isn'it more convenient that way?, but if they don't do jack shit against them, less with CFW creators.

I found it hard too, because if someone starts to do a thing like that, other people might aswell say: "Oh well, we can do this too, we're going to make our CFW for the 3DS like them", so, with so many people involved on this project, it will be really hard to put legal fees in every single one, it will happen the exact same thing with the Wii, it will be something unstopabble, but the problem is, we need someone who has the initiative to do something like this. And then expand the (probably) popularity of this new CFW for the 3DS.

Silent releases of updated CFW is definitely possible, but the thing about it is that the developers either A: Aren't too sure about their ability to "sneak" something into the wild *cough*tor+proxy*cough*, or B: Want the fame of releasing something but don't want to risk their arse to do it. We are all well aware of some of the community having access to ROM loading, but leaving it as either private use or sharing it with only trusted friends.

Once a release eventually happens, I'm sure the rest of the competent scene will hop on the bandwagon for the sake of keeping the community as a whole protected from the legal problems that Nintendo would undoubtedly pursue. It'll be like the PS3 scene all over again. GeoHot gave just the tiniest smidget of leadway to the community, and it blew up. Sure, GeoHot went through hell for a while with Sony lawsuits, but I'm sure he's been paid off by now to keep his mouth shut. Hinting back at tor, Keys Open Doors still has a live mirror with all of the files hosted on it even though every place on the internet has been hit with C&D's to drop all of the information related to it.

tl;dr: The scene is capable, but not quite willing enough yet.

...unless some nut-job again leaks a good and more complete CFW and updates it constantly or someone releases a DRM hardware free gateway and updates it often..

See this is the problem. People aren't detailed about what they saying the cfw is capable of. I knew he meant cia's but you guys have to word it right so they understand. Shit starts to get confusing and more threads start popping up asking weird ass questions.

If i recall correctly, wasn't the original CFW that palatine is based on, just code from the gateway 1.0 launcher.dat?

If so, then of course CFW is possible on 5.0+ and n3DS.

Yes in theory it should be doable. As the CFW is basically a modified emuNAND which removes the checks. However who does it first also gets nuked from orbit the first as well.
