Different file for n3DS and o3DS I believe. Cartridge was confirmed awhile back to require 9.6 keys on New 3DS.

Yes, 9.6 NCCH keyY generation, not 9.6 N3DS only NCCH keyX.
I don't think they would use different files, it would be so easy to simply use the O3DS file.

Woa... What's with all the hate?
Chill out, if they haven't released it is because it is not as polished as they would want it to be or because they are still adding features for the end user.

Don't be such pricks.

I'm also curious what's so special about the video. Unfortunately I don't have my New 3DS right now (Katsukity should hurry up ffs) but the demo works fine on my Old 3DS EmuNAND, so either it's some N3DS-exclusive thing or I dunno. Anyway, nice to see you guys are still onto this.

I didn't know that a 9.6.0 encryption existed that wasn't specific to New 3DS. I didn't see one mentioned on 3dbrew.

"Starting with 9.6.0-X Process9 can now generate the NCCH keyY with the first 0x10-bytes from a SHA256 hash(when ncchflag[7] = 0x20). This hash is generated with the data <0x10-long old-method keyY><last 0x10-bytes which gets hashed during keyY generation>. This new keyY generation can only be used with 7.0.0-XNCCH encryption or above."

No there wouldn't. :P I highly doubt the 3ds (new or old) has enough power to run n64 or ps1 games slowly if at all.

The 3DS has the power to emulate & run both N64 and PS1. The 3DS is comparable to PSP in performance (even though they are very different machines, they both belongs in the same hardware generation). Do you remember that the PSP emulated Dreamcast!? Therefore the 3DS should have no problem at all to emulate the PS1 or N64 that belongs to one generation earlier than the Dreamcast. There is no doubt the 3DS is capable of running N64 & PS1 emulators! Maybe the N64 & PS1 emulators will be like PSPs Dreamcast emulator: 2-4 FPS. There will not be a delightful experience, but it is still doable as a proof of concept!
