Hey, I'm looking for some help.
I am wanting to change my town's name from " わくわく " [Japanese] to " Tsunami " ; and I am having a few troubles.
If someone could guide me and help me, that'd be awesome!

I saw that the hairstyles for the females still weren't updated, so I did some digging and found the hex codes for 'em

Feel free to put these on a prettier looking guide, I kinda rushed it.

I'm going to be fairly inactive until the end of May, due to a large project starting at work.

If I can find some free time, I will note down the rest of the information I have but it's highly doubtful.

Soooo...I accidentally overwrote my save file. I use a backup ram and All of my furniture is gone, but only in one house, but the catalog has the missing furniture. Why?

Because furniture information is not saved completely on the acnlram.bin file. But catalogue is.

Hi,
I want to know if someone managed to edit the border of the city.
When I change the beach side the wall does not change, and I have a hole under the rail next to the new beachs.
The game boot with this map, but it crash sometime because of the upper border (the two holes)

Is it safe to switch a villager, say he's villager #5 from O'hare > Pietro > O'hare? And if I do that, will it reset his clothing/house/catchphrase and all that stuff?

It's because you're not supposed to have beaches there. Yes it's possible to edit some outer acres (must be done manually)

Yes and yes.

It will not reset happiness, town of origin, nickname for you, personalized greeting, and a couple more stuff, but it will reset the house, the clothing and the catchphrase.

So I screwed up when making a new LeafTool and overwrote a large swath of RAM with garbage data. This was one of the results (I have a US cartridge) https://www.dropbox.com/s/28c9rxv1fmklf7n/HNI_0037.JPG?dl=0

The Nook's Homes sign was in Japanese as well. Unfortunately I didn't get to mess with this much as all the garbage data corrupted my town and prevented a reload, but it may be possible to at least change the exteriors of the buildings on Main Street, if not the town's actual region.

I can't give an exact RAM offset for changing the main street buildings, but it's somewhere between 0x3F000 and 0x7E000.

Can someone help me? I edited my ram file, saved it, now what do I do with it? I tried replacing it with the original acnlram.bin file in my SD card, then I tried injecting it into my town but it just crashed.

Yes it's possible to change bulding languages signs, it happen when you inject foreign ram file, you can notice that the sign languages are also in the ram file
Some time ago I tried to corrupt my ram file to get interesting things, I got this :

Tell us in detail what exactly have you injected.

Also good news, I might have time today to work on the spreadsheet. WAS ABOUT TIME. Figure that I got way more real-world business done than I expected yesterday, so today, I have a couple things to do and then, will get to it.

Oh and by the way guys, I heard of a town called "RiverRun", the guy put some buildings that makes the game saving in his town, it corrupts other peoples savegame because the game is not supposed to save when you're in the dream mode

I'm currently working on the spreadsheet concerning villager's furniture.

I corrected my mistakes for Villager #1, and finished Villager #2.

If I'm not done tonight, and if people want to take the helm on these values, take the value of the previous villager and add "24F8" to it. Simple like that. Its taking me more time to edit the spreadsheet than to calculate the values.

I should be done with villager's interior information, and I also double-checked the catchphrases. Most of them were slightly off by a byte or two, so I rechecked them.

Now.

I MIGHT START LOOKING INTO VILLAGER EXTERIORS ONCE I'M DONE EDITING, so if people know villagers who have REALLY SIMILAR HOUSES, tell me who, so that I can inject and compare values tonight. My boyfriend is out at the restaurant, so I want to do the best of the time I have.

Namely, I know Kid Cat and Octavian have the same door (fish door), and I think Drago and Phoebe also have the same door. (oriental one)

When you are in dream mode you load the sav of the host on your RAM. If you dump your RAM when you are in dream mode, you dump the whole sav of the host when he made the dream code. (pocket, fish, villager, badge .... all the sav are in the dream code, not only the town) this is why when you sav in dream mode with the "RiverRun" manipulation you erase your sav by his sav. Finally the dream code is a kind of backup.
I backup the village of nintendo to see what we should not see (items in pockets ...) and I inject it (nothing very cool)

Would I be able to use hex editing to change a villager's shirt to a design displayed in the able sisters shop?
