That as long as N3DS isn't swiched off, DS Exploit is working even after playing a NDS game.
So freakin :confused:

ok to be 100% sure i will play ds game now & exit via home & then enter gateway mode. will let you know if i was lucky the 1st time or it's just the way the exploit works.

yes i turned it off & on & the exploit still there. i have just did it again now & the exploit is still working fine.

and did you play a NDS game , or do you just mean you reset the console and it still worked......if so thats normal and supposed to happen

i have tried this exploit on 2 N3DS consoles, the N3DSXL i turned it off right after playing NDS games & the exploit is gone, the regular N3DS i did not turn off right after playing NDS game but after going back to gateway mode & the exploit still works.

I've tried a couple of things to see if i lose MSET and Two different games (Megaman Zero Collection and Pokemon White 2)

Load DS Game, Exit to System Menu, Load MSET = Fine
Load DS Game, Fully power off console, Load MSET = Fine
Load DS Game, Exit to System Menu, Fully Power off Console, Load MSET = Fine

not sure why my system seems to be immune to losing the exploit...i think awhile back i installed FlashcartTimewarp in attempt to use CycloDSi(which didn't work) but doubt that made any difference

anything i could try?, just to know what not to do? i still have my OoT cart to reinstall if i need to

Has anyone on 8.1.0-0J tried installing the web browser from 9.0/9.2? I installed it, and when I run it on sysNAND (not in GW sysNAND mode, just pure sysNAND), it freezes the console, even though the CIA came from 3DNUS.

KARL is as real as the DSTWO+ at the moment so theres that... I cant comment on the emunand part but I guess its not due their incompetence but rather due to the fact that what theyre doing is a lot more complicated than an average dev might be doing.

Yes I wonder if retail NDS game versus flashcard NDS game makes a difference??

No way! Keep you sysnand to 9.2 MAX. GW doesn't work on 9.7 at all.
Also GW supports 9.7 emunand ONLY on old 3DS.
Since you have a N3DS, you will only be able to use the same emunand version as your sysnand (9.00-20)

You have to install it to sysNAND directly, so either use an SD/mSD card in your 3DS without an emuNAND installed, or use a hex editor to change GATEWAYNAND to FATEWAYNAND so the launcher doesn't detect your emuNAND partition.

The latest GW update said to backup SysNAND and create EmuNAND on N3DS. How do I go about doing those?

Also, if I still want to play DS games, do I need to reinstall N3DS exploit each time I want to use GW?

no you can't & don't update your system nand,you will need cubic ninja or zelda ocarina of time retail games to be able to run gateway on your n3ds & once you do that you backup system nand & format emunand then you can update your emunand to firmware 9.5 using cia files downloaded with 3DNUS. read the forum & intsall tutorials before you do anything
