Mochi, please don't post duplicate posts if you don't receive a response right away. It's very spammy and people cannot always respond right away even if you are impatient.

The root of the SD card is the main directory. That is, outside of the DCIM / etc folders. Don't put the files in any folders. Just copy them directly to the SD card.

EDIT: I realize words may be confusing, so just stare at this:

NEW ANIMAL CROSSING GAME!!!!!
ANIMAL CROSSING HAPPY HOME DESIGNER!!!!

That's.... not the thread for this, at all. I appreciate your excitement but numerous people have been trying to keep this topic on-track and it keeps getting out of hand.

Guys. Please. It's hard enough for people coming to this thread to find the vital information that answers their questions without idle, unrelated chatter (this is not a chat, as has been stated before in this thread as well), and different people keep asking the same questions over and over because no one wants to wade through 80 pages to find the answers that have already been repeated multiple times. And for those of us who need this thread for repeated reference, it gets troublesome very quickly.

Everytime I try to inject, my game crashes.
(By the way I have the ram file and just finished editing)

What changes did you make? Are you on PC or Mac?

does this work on gateway ROMs?

In Gateway mode, no. Quoting SonicHyuga, "If you happen to have a retail copy with your sysNAND on 4.x-8.x and your emuNAND is on 9.x, you can use rxTools to boot into emunand instead. The exploit works with rxTools."

I'm having issues with my game crashing when I change my Player 1 House size. I'm currently on size 04 but I want it maxed out at 07 so I don't have to go through the hassle of buying all the upgrades. However, everytime I inject my new .bin file and enter then exit my house, my game just crashes. I've already edited my houses roof, fence, door, and pavement but I just can't get the size to work. And yes, I've changed both sets of bytes for all factors.

everything is (?) and the buldings are called undefined. is it safe to try to check if it works? the villagers are there tho.
