Ive never setup emunand, I have a 2ds on 9.2-0.20. Do I need to generate xorpads?

Nope, just copy the GW launcher.dat and format emuNAND (this does format the SD card so be sure to backup all the data on it before doing so). From there, you just boot rxmode from the rxtools menu, go to system settings once it boots and if it says RX-E 9.2.0-20, you're good to update!

What sysNAND/emuNAND is your other console running?
Same happens for me when switching from MT-emuNAND to rxMode (both sysNAND 4.5) with my smash cart.
I'll probably move my save to the legit CIA so I can avoid any more save corruptions.
But for other games, there's no way to decrypt the saves created in MT-emuNAND...
I'm really hoping for a way to re-encrypt saves for different firmwares.

Glad to see thus update so quick, even beat GW, you guys are the real devs the 3DS scene was waiting for :D.
Thank you very very much roxas, I'll donate to you when I get paid next week for sure ;).

You both need the SlotX in the root of your SD card in order to make those saves work, google it.

My other console is in 9.5 sysnand. The one using RX-E is in 4.5 Sysnand and 9.6 emunand

EDIT: I also have the slotX something.bin on my sdcard

If I didn't have slotX I couldn't even get the "save corrupted" message because there's no way to boot 8.1 (required by smash) or higher without it.
I actually didn't touch the function that generates the key, so on sysnands below 6.x it is probably bad generated. So, games you start in rxMode will just work on rxMode. That's the problem of the compatibility.
Same goes for MT's emuNAND.

My other console is in 9.5 sysnand. The one using RX-E is in 4.5 Sysnand and 9.6 emunand

That explains a lot. 6.x and higher firmware games sometimes use different save encryption. OR/AS and smash are two examples. Because of the fact that the key is wrongly generated, cartridges for those games will only work either on sysNAND 6.x or higher, or in emuNANDs on sysNAND 4.x (no cross-emuNAND compatibility)... Well, until someone finds a way to get around that, that is.

You beat Gateay to 9.6 support. Nice. :P

Now you just need to solve that ctrnand.bin injection issue for emunand. It doesn't appear to work correctly. Firm0/Firm1 injection works fine though as I have used that feature successfully in the past. ;)

Well, it turns out I need the latest firmware version to be able to use SD data transfer tool to transfer my smash save to the legit CIA.
So now I'm stuck on 9.5 until MT somehow comes to life again. Great.
