I do not plan support for n3ds, sorry.

As i tested, rxMode in sysnand worked with ds titles. Though emunand needs much more attenction.

sure no problem, i understand no n3ds support, i just wanted to make it clear (also for others) that oot3d support does not mean n3ds support :)
cool that ds stuff works in sysnand rxmode :)

excellent tool Roxas75, it helped me dump my preinstalled games into legit cias and it's getting even better all the time :D but I did have one problem, when I used the "dump tickets" feature to generate a cia for New Super Mario Bros. 2 Gold Edition, FunkyCIA didn't find the right ticket in the tickets.bin :( however, decrypting my nand partitions with your tool and extracting my ticket.db that way worked just fine, is there any reason why the "clean" ticket for NSMB2 wouldn't be extracted/detected? I did notice that the Gold Edition has a different titleid (0004000000137e00) from the normal NSMB2. Unfortunately I didn't do any further testing since extracting my ticket.db manually proved successful and I used that method to generate a cia for Animal Crossing as well, though I can go back and test the former method on Animal Crossing if need be.

maybe the ticket dumping stuff is not perfect (since it tries to strip all the useless junk in the database and give you just the tickets) - maybe it didn't get all the tickets when you tried it :(
i guess it can be fixed easily, if it is a 'bug'

yeah same issue here, pre-installed tickets seem to be stripped out of the ticket.bin file, i assume it tries to filter out all the system titles or something and pre-installed games get caught in the crossfire.......so roxas75, any chance of a plain ticket.db dump so we can get all tickets dumped :D

*ticket.db :)
hmm... unless it changed with an update, i dumped my tickets with this (i used the very first version), and my preinstalled stuff ticket was there.
i didn't check if it tries to filter out tickets, i assumed it just gets rid of all the crud around those tickets (since surely there is not 37mb worth of tickets)...
i think it is just a coincidence in that the ticket you wanted just happen to have been left out, because there is a bug that leaves does not get all the tickets. (just guessing)

yeah well i guess someone else having the same issue probably just means the pre-installed game tickets aren't getting detected properly or something.....just had a look and system titles seem to be there so yeah probably just a bug detecting the pre-installed game tickets :)

and yeah *ticket.db :P

I have the same problem than you with mario 3d land, could you help me how di you do to extract you ticket.db no the ticket.bin???

here's the method I used:
1. use rxTools' "Decryption Options" -> "Decrypt partitions" to decrypt and dump the partitions of your sysnand to your sd card
2. use winImage to open the "ctrnand.bin" file in the "rxtools" -> "nand" folder on your sd card, it will load this file as folders you can browse. now open the "dbs" folder in this file, right click your ticket.db file and extract it somewhere safe
3. use it with FunkyCIA and (hopefully) have a nice legit cia file :yay:

I keep getting invalid syntax on funkycia if i use the original ticket dumper or the rxtools one.

You are probably using the wrong python version or just typing the wrong thing when you use FunkyCIA

Edit: Right, I feel stupid. It decrypts the rom itself rather then decrypting and throwing the decrypted files on the SD Card.

ok well just to say cearp was correct its not just a simple "bundled games dont work" as i tested another bundled game with just the "dump tickets" option and it seems to of worked, so i guess its just a bug of some sort for certain systems tickets

I probably cutted out an useful region of the ticket.db to reserve space and time... Well maybe i can dump the entire ticket.db at this rate.
Though the dumper will become slower.

I noticed some text being repeated in the emunand injection menu. "Injecting" gets repeated twice for some reason and the resulting text breaks the layout of your background image as the text extends beyond the little box that you have as the background.

The text as it appears on my screen:

Code:
Injecting Injecting nd/emu_firm0.bin ...
...
Injecting Injecting nd/emu_firm1.bin ...
...
Injecting Injecting nd/emu_ctrnand.bin ...
in ...

That's pretty much the parts that break the layout right now.

no problem :) also it will be useful when we want to swap ticket.dbs if we have the the full file. a ticket injector would be very useful, but maybe outside the scope of this :)
