Hacking [HOWTO] Use OOT Exploit on SKY3DS/Non Working Carts

My Eur Retail card doesn't work, and i also don't get it, how to use SaveDataFiler to provide sonic with the files he need to get create a patched SaveGame.

New 3DS XL EUR (13.03.2015): 9.0.0-20E
Old 3DS EUR (12.05.2011): 9.2.0-20E
OoT - Front (14.05.2011): LNA-CTR-AQEP-EUR
OoT - Back: AQEP510134
Working y/n: No; Corrupt Save (gets deleted on launch)

New 3DS firmware - XL Majora's Mask Edition 9.0E
Old 3DS firmware - Pikachu Edition : 4.5E
OoT - Front: LNA-CTR-AQEP-EUR
OoT - Back : AQEP510202
Working y/n - Yes without bug
Purchased when? - European Day one

I have a non-corrupt save as well, but Sonic told me he doesn't need help any longer. But if this is so, where is his fixed savefile?

Have you changed the micro sd card in both the 3ds and the sky card? Also delete the whole partition on both cards with a partition program and reformat.


Mine never worked till I swapped my sky3ds micro sd card to the 3ds. And the 3ds micro sd card into the skycard.

Replicate the structure of my µSD (like in my post)
Load up HxD and then go to openDisk-> select the µSD
open the hacked save in a new tab

I extrapolated from your method - since games sizes flux, the location to paste on the µSD differs. i bypassed that by simply backing up a blank save from the second game, editing it with HxD(pasting the data from the gwhack save from offset 58) and then restoring the edited file back to the cart.
worked like a charm, the save was loaded - now i got the blank bottom white screen, but i think it's because of the µSD i'm using... trying with a different one...

Did you wait 5-10 seconds before you press A? In diskwriter do a format and then do a reformat before writing roms. You need to prepare your microSD fresh.

Did exactly as you said above. Black and white screens are still there. One thing that I concern is that only the internal microsd (4GB Toshiba class4) works so far... so strange.

Yeah you can do it that way too. Didn't think about it.
But I have the same problem as you. Blank white screen...
Its not the fault of the µSD, I tried already three different ones. One 64GB Transcend, one Kingston 8GB and the 4GB Toshiba which came with the N3DS.
Its as the Exploit can't access the filesystem. You get the same white screen if you don't insert any µSD.

You're not going to like this... changing the µSD card worked for me... got to the GW menu.

Mine exactly the same as yours. I'm thinking to get a Toshiba 32GB Class 4, the one in the same series with the integrated microsd.

It worked out for me because I got my samsung pro card I wanted in there anyways.

I'm with Samsung Pro / Sky3DS too, never loads Launcher.dat... Black/White screens all the time.

I have Jap N3ds and old 3ds with GW and want to buy a Jap Zelda. Is there a possibility to my purchased card never work? If yes, I will purcase Cubic Ninja and wait for GW.
Just wanted to be sure. Will at least one of either OP's fixed jap save (when posted) or GW's save guaranteed to work? Is there a person with both US GW save and OP's fixed US save don't work?

So which µSD did you change to make it work? The internal µSD of the 3DS or the µSD of the Sky3DS?
