Hacking [HOWTO] Use OOT Exploit on SKY3DS/Non Working Carts

It is probably possible, however I needed a R4 Save dongle to write the exploited save to my Sky3Ds, I then exported it and handed it to Sonic. So I think to put a Gateway save on a Sky3Ds card, you would need to force write it with the save dongle.

Well, a quick file comparison shows that Sky3DS fills some areas of the save file with 'FF'.
All the rest is identical.

Step 0.5: Grab the template linked below and change your Diskwriter settings to use it.
Step 1: Grab a copy of OOT. Slap it on your Sky3DS.
Step 2: Grab the SAV for your region from below
Step 3: Restore SAV with Diskwriter
Step 4: ??????
Step 5: PROFIT

I notice my Diskwriter v1.06 i use only accepts .bks file, and renaming the .sav file to .bks doesn't work. So how do i do it?

If only there was a way to have a ROM of the gateway card then the sky would be an all in one card. Ninjhax, Sky, OoT , and gateway.

No, this is done with the Sky3ds and the new Gateway launcher.dat on your SD card.

Right click on the game in Diskwriter, then select restore save. then you can use .sav files.
