Would it be possible to use these tools to extract information like streetpass data and your friends list and then injecting them into a different NAND; ie a formatted SYSNAND?

How it works :
It supports all Gateway emuNAND up to the latest version (9.5.0-23 right now). It will boot in emuNAND in automatic, if it is present in your sdcard.

To make it work, you need to put the firmware.bin file in the root of your sdcard, just like rxTools.dat; the problem is that it contains material protected by copyright, so it's illegal to share this file, though we can legally download it from the Nintendo CDN. I included a simple tool that does it for you (with sources) : click on cdn_firm.exe and it will download the file for you.

I was curious about this. It says that it supports Gateway emuNAND, then below, it says that I will need the firmware binary from the Nintendo CDN.

Does this mean that I can just format for emuNAND, and be ready? Or must I download that binary and place it in the root of my SD card? It would be nice if someone could point me in the right direction.

The Emunand and the firmware.bin are used together.

Obviously, you can't link me, but can you give me a hint as to where I may find this?
What? The paragraph you quoted tells you how to get it.

Run cdn_firm.exe and place the file it downloads at the root of your SD card. Done.

Yessh, got Smash's update patch from the Eshop on emunand and its working like a charm on sysnand! Keep up the good work;D

Also about Emunand, is it alright keeping it linked with sysnand or should it be unlinked later down the line, so it wont cause any issues?

I wouldn't unlink it at least until the actual fix for Smash/MH4 is released. The only issue I've seen so far is with newly downloaded software is that they appear wrapped up again every time I start emunand, but the saves are fine so I don't really mind right now.

Emunand Custom themes possible?

As long as you're on an exploitable firmware and own Cubic Ninja, I do not see why not.

So, I just set this up, and it works flawlessly! Thank you for all of your work. So, as long as I see the RX-E before my firmware, it is safe to update my handheld from inside of System Settings?

Yes the E is what stands for Emunand, you're good to update then. If you see and S... run away (?)

Updated to v2.1!
  • Re-enabled the Dump System Titles options, it was disabled for mistake
  • 100% of the game working in rxMode (Fixed the problem that caused the error while launching games like SSB and MH4)
So yeah, now you can go online with what you want.
Also, exiting those special games, will reboot the system and exit rxMode. You can avoid this by opening another app (like MiiMaker) instead of closing the software.

hi Roxas , great work! , but i had a question ... do we always need to use browser exploit ? i tried renaming to launcher.dat and using DS profile but no go :(
