I recently bought a used 3ds XL, the thing is, it has a user registered to it (or so i presume) Whenever i go online, it logs that user in. Is it possible for me to make my own account? Will it have concequences for my games? (all roms) I downloaded 2 Eshop things, Anime channel, and the ORAS demo.

Using Gateway, am at 9.0.22E SysNAND and 9.5.23 EmuNAND

You need go to settings, Nintendo Network ID settings, then you can log out the account from there and make one of your own. You will need to connect to the internet to do this, so only make sure to turn it on while in settings and turn it off when you're done. I don't think it will mess up your eshop games but, I'm not sure. If you have your Sysnand and Emunand linked, the account will change for both.

How do i know if its linked?

Also, the 2 things i did download, on EmuNAND, keep resetting when i re-open GW (Like, they will return to their ''gift icon'') Save in the oras demo is kept.

If the eshop downloads keep getting in their gift state, it means emunand and sysnand are linked. To stop this you need to unlink them. To unlink them you need to format either your emunand or sysnand with the 3ds big sd card out of the 3ds. Then when it's finished formatting, put the sd card back and the 3ds will create new data on the sd card. I recommend formatting emunand. If you format your emunand you will need to access emunand again for it to create the new data. But, if you format you will lose the eshop games so you will need to reinstall the as cias.

Well If you don't mind unpacking the games every time you start emunand, I don't think you should unlink it if you don't want to. If you do want to go through with it, I think you should back everything up just in case.

But the part about logging out, and making a new account is totally safe? Should i make that account while on Emu or Sys NAND?

I forgot you need the password of the other account in order to log out of it. Your only other options are to either format the sysnand which will then unlink the nnid but, you will also lose the eshop games. I think after you format the sysnand you will need to format emunand from the gateway menu again but, i'm not sure about that. Or, you can unlink the sysnand and emunand and make a different nnid in emunand.

I wonder if i should just keep the current attached account. Will i ever need the pass for it if i keep it? Formatting EmuNAND to delink them seems kinda complicated.

Well if you don't mind having that account, I think it is better if you leave it as it is. I don't think you will need the password unless you would want to change the NNID settings.

Personally, I'd start from scratch again. With your own accounts etc. That way you know everything is safe.
