My sysNand is 9.2. emuNand is now 9.5. I want ROM loading support back.

Format emunand once more and you should be at 9.2.

if you just got it, I'm assuming you didn't install or do anything significant for now.

If you have a backup of your emuNAND (not sysNAND), you can use inject it into the SD card emunand partition to restore the old backup.

if you don't have a backup of emuNAND, you can either wait or format emunand again since by doing that you'll get a new 9.2 emuNAND again.

I just got it today, and don't mind losing the one .cia I installed on emuNand. I do not have a backup of emuNand, so I am reformatting it to 9.2. I guess there's no way for me to put it at 9.4.

What happens if a future game (Majora's Mask or Codename STEAM) comes out and requires 9.4 or 9.5? How can I bypass this on emuNand using the ROM loader?

Don't worry, the update for the emunand will likely be released within 48 hours BTW I highly doubt MM will need 9.2 yet alone 9.4/5.

As 9.2 did. I wonder why you updated in the first place? What did you needed on 9.5 emunand?

It can't. Majora's Mask cart is produced since a while, and 9.5 didn't even exist when it got produced. Not to mention Pokemon RO/SA asked 7.x when it could already ask 8. or 9.x.

And gateway bypass update check anyway, so except if the game really need a function not present on 9.4, won't happen (if it need a function on 9.5 then the N3DS collector pack wouldn't work if you don't have an internet connection, as the N3DS won't have 9.5 as a base firmware, that would be offering a game that don't work at launch xD).

Not to mention no games (at least retail ones) require 9.0 yet, highest required is 8.1 (Smash Bros and a few others games) and the release date mean nothing. Pokemon OR/AS, released after Smash Bras, only require 7.x because it got manufactured before Smash Bros and it's probably the same for Majora's Mask, the game is probably ready since a while.

Willl never happen, when you see some people who are still bitching about the old bricking situation of Gateway, when it actually only happened to two or threes genuine users, who got their 3DS exchanged xD

So I don't think how the Sky3DS thing could be forgiven by those peoples (first one just tried to protect it's own flashcard and assumed their fault, when the second one did it on purpose to make more money and didn't even sent new versions to people who bought the first one).

I don't care for both situations personally, but I can understand people don't wanting to buy one because of that.

I do, the longest I've seen was a week or so but you never know. Yup, as soon as the update hits just download the needed files and you're good to go. You can get that demo online just Google it I'm sure you'll find it in cia format Cia games by default are not region free so you'll have to find one that says its RF, not very difficult really.

I don't think so. Just replace the launcher.dat with the new one and you're good to go.

But thanks to everyone who actually contributed to thread. Basically if you don't have to, just wait to update your emuNAND because the multi-rom manager doesn't seem to be working. If you only install .cia files then don't worry about it. According to other users pokemon injection works and so does the browser exploit to get GBC games.

As of now still no New 3DS support for Gateway and Sky has not yet been blocked (may be next update, may be never).

Did I miss anything? Because most of this thread was garbage tbh.

well... what he said is right. They are by default region locked. It's just that most in the wild are region free due to the converter doing that automatically. But if it's just a normal conversion without anything extra added when doing the conversion, they aren't region free. Same thing as the firmware spoofing.

Yeah, I read it again and he said "by default", but the message seems to imply most are released region-locked (with the sentence which says you need to find the rsf file) when in fact, near every .cia released are region-free.

I haven't seen a single example of this, actually. There are fewer people with Sky3DS to make an ass of themselves, but they do it much more often.
And Sky works completely differently, I'm sure you know this. GW doesn't make [software] exploits out of thin air, unless you want more Clone Wars.

You know you could just download a CIA of the demo and install that... there's no real reason to need access to the store.

It's really quite simple:

• If you have a 9.2 or below 3DS, get a Gateway or Sky3DS. Whichever one you think works for you. Something that has more features that takes a bit of time to mess with (Gateway) or something simple and is enough to satisfy your 3DS gaming experience (Sky3DS).
• If you have a 9.3+ 3DS, just get a Sky3DS.
• If you have a 9.2 or below New3DS, you can either wait more patiently for Gateway to release an update or buy a Sky3DS. Throwing a fit about Gateway not releasing a support update for it just makes you seem immature. Not to mention, it's your fault that you chose to buy a New3DS to use Gateway. They never forced you, but you make excuses anyway.
• If you have a 9.3+ New3DS, just get a Sky3DS.

Edit: OR you *could* always buy the games legit and support the developers (Recommended).

Hold on, wait a minute. Do I need to have 9.5 if I have to access the eShop or can I stay on emuNAND 9.4 and still access the eShop from there?
