Yeah, your best bet might be to write all the ROMs in one single process or just the Pokemon ROM for testing first.

Jesus, from one problem to another...
It worked, but now when I enter the game I get "The saved game data is currupted. Refer to the electronic manual for details.".
Any idea how to fix that?

Edit: Tried to delete the save (up+b+x) and then I got another error which forces me to turn off the power.

Delete the save by button combination. (D-Pad Up + B + X simultaneously)
If the save is from a retail card, then you can't use it in GW Mode. =/
As far as I know...

Edit: That's weird. Don't know what that is all about. Sorry. =/

'Aight, thanks anyway. Guess it's time to use google/

Oh, I forgot to edit the Chip ID, silly me.
Works fine now.

Urgh. I just downgraded my classic 3DS and today I tried to play some super smash bros. It can't read the save game anymore. sysNAND and emunand are still linked.
I suppose it can't read the save game because it was written to the sd card and emunand creates a new folder in the Nintendo DS directory where the save games are stored, aren't they?

Any way to get the save game back or update back to 9.2 (sysnand of course) at least?

Edit/
Ok, it seems like it is using the same Nintendo DS folder and the same cryptic directory in it. But I still don't know how to get my save game back... 50+ hours of progress is lost...

the save data encryption keys differ on sysnan 4.x and 6.x-9.x
if you really want to keep playing your retail smash cart, you can't downgrade.

So my big question now is which one of these would be the best way to handle the situation,

1) Format System Memory with SD card removed

2) Launch gateway exploit and restore the backed up NAND made with 9.2

3) Attempt to downgrade to 4.5 (No way currently to get back to 9.2, or could I upgrade with 9.2 NAND?)
You should format sysNAND with SD card removed so that you can separate sysNAND and emuNAND and bypass the gift wrapping glitch, and remove update data.

You shouldn't need to restore sysNAND unless you get a brick.

Thank you guys.
Tried out the gateway function "export save game" and restored it right afterwards (don't know why...). Also upgraded to 8.1 after it and recognized that my save game is now damaged. Yeah!

Downgrading now... And I have to go through the game again.

Just got my Gateway cart, and I'm having problems with Pokemon Omega Ruby.
Using a non-trimmed rom, I've injected my Super Smash Bros header (dumped myself) into it, and changed the extension to .3dz, but when I try to open it in the Gateway I get a "Fragmentation Error".
Do I need to use a header from a card2 game? or is it something else?

"Fragmentation Error" fix

Question about saves. Will my original cartridge game saves (played on stock 9.2) work in emuNAND if my sysNAND is 9.2? I get the feeling that Gateway's emuNAND is just patching the savegame routines to use the method used by sysNAND. So, back when sysNAND was only 4.5, it made sense that games played on sysNAND >6 would be corrupted on sysNAND 4.5. But now that sysNAND can be 9.2, all should be peachy unless you downgrade -- right? At least, until a new 3DS firmware comes out with different savegame methods.

Hi guys... I have a problem with my gf 3ds.
She has the 9.2E version... we load the gateway exploit and we can do everything... but when we click on "Classic Mode" it doesn't load... It keeps freeze on black screen... Why?

Do you have the GW cart in when you try to open classic mode?

This is a really buggy release.
I hope N3DS compatibility update fixes most if not all issues addressed, since there are listed everywhere in here.
