thank you! btw, is it possible to check an update/game's (.cia) region using this? havent checked to see if it does yet, but i dont want to accidentally install the wrong region update/game.

and also, why is it recommended that we install .cia's in emuNAND, not sysNAND?

You only need SysNAND for running the exploit. Everything else should run from EmuNAND

Alright, I installed games and updates from my region while utilizing sysNAND (didnt know any of that at the time), so should i use bigbluemenu to delete all of the .cia files i have on my sd card then install emuNAND?

edit: i tried deleting all the .cia files, and i did (L+R+X on bigblueme), but their icons are still on my homescreen. I'm not going to try to open them, but is there a safe way to get them off of my homescreen, or should i just disregard them?

edit2: I have a backed up version of my sysNAND. Should I reinstall that first, and if so, how do i do that?

Unless you have a hardware mod(wires soldered to emmc/nand chip), you have to wait and hope gateway add sysnand restore feature with or w/o red card in the future.

Why isn't BigBlueMenu just in a sticky post on gbatemp? It's packaged like a warez release, but AFAIK it's not copyrighted, at least not by someone who isn't okay with distributing it. I know the dev menu is copyrighted by Nintendo, but I thought BBM was a homebrew alternative.

Deleting the CIA files won't uninstall it from your 3DS. You can use Data Management to do that (make sure only to do that from GW mode! Otherwise it will delete all your downloads) or alternately you could find the corresponding folder on the SD card in the "Nintendo 3DS" folder and delete that, but finding the correct folder to delete is a bit tricky.
