I'm very optimistic that this CFW will be ported to 9.x once GW's exploit is out in the wild. Hope I'm right!

This CFW is closed source and not being publicly updated, so you'd have to be exceptionally optimistic to think there's any chance.

the file on the site govanify is not the basis of the CFW hxxp://govanify.com/_files/St4rkDev-scfw-4f15c0947073.zip ? Whole another story is someone really wants to make a stable CFW and remove the card from the market ?
ps : sorry for my english

That zip is a partial attempt by st4rk to reverse engineer the leaked CFW, but he didn't get very far with it. It's not any use by itself.

would if be possible to install the cfw via emunand on 9.2? If so you could theorectical swap the nand files via an nand flasher, even if this would be very unpractical.

I strongly disagree.

The primary reason these developers are keeping their work to themselves is that they don't want to be responsible for bringing widespread piracy to the 3DS.

Gateway is about to alleviate them of that burden, and make a shit load of cash in the process.

The opportunity to undercut Gateway by providing a free alternative to their emuNAND solution provides a strong incentive for the half dozen or so people with the skills and the exploits to do so.

I think we'll see evidence of people working on such alternatives within days of the release of Gateway's much anticipated update. Further more, I predict we'll have a fully functioning free cfw/emuNAND within a month.

You'll probably see people showing off on twitter, yeah but no one's getting a free rom loader.

Only if one is leaked.
btw, how is that public softmod for the Ds/Dsi? oh right that just does not exist and those systems are near EOL. Keep waiting for those to be public. Look how long Smea took on homebrew or Gateway takes on each new update. Unless you have an up-to-date CFW sitting in your back pocket ready to release in a month, it's just not gonna happen. You would not even have what is currently available(to the public) if it weren't for a leaker.

Seems like my wish came true - after GW releases their downgrade solution this will be available for free for the masses! :) Can't wait to test homebrew without buying an expensive flashcart.

hahahaha plz guy do not make me laugh

will gw team shoot themselves in the foot !? Doubt it

I don't have a GW and I have access to the downgrade menu, so yeah, guess they did. Or maybe they're just nice.

This does open up CFW and even DSTwo+, plus GateWay clones for everyone on 9.x when that's out. So yeah kind of a shoot in the foot.

Same here can newer games played anyhow
From what I tested, it depends. For example any game in the 4.5 and under range should play with no issue but anything above that most likely wont work. Then there odd cases like "Gyakuten_Saiban_123_Naruhodou_Selection" a 6.2 game which plays fine.

It may also depends on what SDK version the game was made from.

I couldn't install the devmenu. I keep getting the update nag after triggering the cfw. Can that be the reason my 3ds never connects to the pc?
Everything seems fine. I'm using the proper ip and I've disabled all firewalls and antivirus and still doesn't connect.
Does this exploit work on 4.2? I was thinking about downgrading and trying on 4.2.
Any thoughts???

Edit....HOLY SHIT....I formatted the sysnand to get rid of the update nag and tried to install the devmenu....worked first try....AWESOME

I suggest if anyone is having issues installing the devmenu to try formatting the sysnand first...:)
