Don't you get the impression that garyopa's not really in the loop? He kinda just does what he's told - "hype that shit over Christmas and New Year you punk" - kinda thing.

Since he owns scmods.com, I'm thinking he's seen something concrete, but Gateway team fails to give him a precise timeline. I think he didn't do it on purpose, I don't see a good motive. But yes he could have been fooled and I wouldn't be surprised at all.

As far as I can tell, savedatafiler woudnt work on past 4.5 consoles. Dont think it was cracked past that?

I don't understand why everyone is flipping out. Sure Gateway probably won't release today/tonight, but they are so close that they told garyOPA that they would be done within a couple of hours. To me that means that they will be done by the end of the week, thats just such a small amount of time they have to be like just a few key presses away from ready.

Although I am waiting for the firmware, I dont think I will the 3DS past 4.5 anyway. But still, would be cool if everyone in the community had a working gateaway

i fully agree with you no one can blame garyopa at ALL BUT since he's their main man who runs their official forum you would've thought they communicated with him better than they do with us.

He shouldn't of said anything and just leave everyone in the dark that's what I would of done

You know, I did try to warn against getting your collective hopes up so high. Of course that was completely hopeless, but I did try.
I know you're disappointed that the release hasn't happened even though another countdown has passed you by, but could we quit the witch-hunting and assuming that somebody is making money from, i dunno, bottling your tears or something.
