Got mine from amazon , japanese consoles with 8.1 the good store of japan

Edit: I love that store they ship so fast It was so fast 2-4 days from jap to the u.s, depends where you live , i sent mine to miami florida, a friend picked it up for me.

Id stick with gateway, ill buy a regular 3ds xl and use it in 4.5

I think a lot of you are over-estimating Nintendo's ability to break into warehouses and reflash millions of their consoles.

Wise choice. Gateway supporting firmware below 9.0 was a really great decision.

yeah .. when getting from inside is hard becaue big taxes, high prices and from outside because politic and stuffs xp but there are nothing I can do :/

That might help the server load if there are a lot of people downloading at once.

What firmware are your 3DS's on?
I have a US 3DS XL at 9.2 and a JP New 3DS at 9.2 firmware.

They should have just supported 8.1 and above, that way anyone can update to 8.1 with Smash Bros and be done with it.

Its kinda like how they only supported 4.x because you were able to update lower firmwares to that with a game. I agree they really should have only done 8.x -9.2
