Ugh. Gateway gets a 0/10 for communication skills.

already ordered mine. Since I have an aus n3ds coming, I'll still be able to play pal games just fine.

There's also a lot of people saying nintendo will just patch sky3ds, but the point is that sky 3ds mirrors a 3ds cart on a hardware level pretty closely. So realistically that's like saying microsoft will just patch the ODE devices for x360, but they can't/haven't yet. It might be too much for nintendo to put into researching and not worth it for <1% and no increase/decrease in sales for blocking said device...

So I personally think sky 3ds has that advantage up on gateway, also they could possibly find a way to update the cart even if it does get blocked, maybe via the cubic ninja entry point. Who knows? I have a lot more respect for SKY3DS though in comparison to gateway.

If they change the key for 3ds games, sky is limited to only older games.

Honestly you may as well just spring for a retail cart, you wont beat a game before the new gateway comes out anyway and its cheaper than sky3ds.

Yeah, your right. I'll buy myself a cartridge tommorrow. Don't know what game ill get though. I just hope the update comes tommorrow.

We dont really know when the update is coming out though :/ If they said it was a month, it'd be fine - its the not knowing that's frustrating, especially when they keep saying it'll be out "in a couple of days", or more recently that the release is "imminent".

Wow this thread moves fast. I read some pages and i'm a bit confused again. I have a 2DS on 9.2 i don't have any special software that i downloaded from the eShop. HOWEVER, i did get DLC for Fantasy life, you guys are saying formatting the sstem will stop the annoying update popup from coming. I disabled my wifi a while ago but still get the message. So if i format it will delete the DLc i bought? and i'm still like flipping out if anything happens if i format. Also spotpass how do i disable that lol ye i'm a Newbie.

I think formatting will delete the dlc. Not sure though

If you format it you will lose the DLC and you disable spotpass from the internet settings
