I've been playing pm:ttyd on nintendont on my wii... but I can't seem to get wiird to work at all. I've even tried usb loaders. With the usb loaders, there's some issue that makes the colors all faded and still the codes don't work anyway. :( Help me please, I put the gct in the folder with the game, I turned on cheats but in game no difference. and what are the "cheat codes" other than wiird that the nintendont thread is refering to? also you moderators may move this if it is in the wrong place. Sorry if it is.

You'll need kenobiwii.bin placed on the SD card/USB drive.

I do have that file (forgot to mention that), but I don't think my gct file is placed in the right folder now. I'll go check and fix it. Edit: Fixed it and still no change. :( Edit2: just realized they are 48 codes... read somewhere that those don't work. Edit3: Generated a new gct without the 48 codes and still not working.

Wiird and Ocarina cheatcode are two different things.

Debugger and Cheatcode file
To enable "Wiird" cheatcode, you need to enable the debug option. it will allow you to search and enable/disable cheatcode in real time using WiiRd debugger and USBGecko. It also let you take screenshots.
Connect USBGecko, launch Wiird and launch the game.

If you want only cheatcodes loaded from a file at game launch, you don't need to enable the debugger option.
In nintendont settings, enable the cheatcode option.

Cheatcode engine
In both case (debugger and cheatcode from file), you need to place kenobiwii.bin on the /sneek/ folder on your games partition. (not on Nintendont partition!)
For better support, just put a /sneek/kenobiwii.bin on all your partitions ;) (SD and USB1)

SD:/sneek/kenobiwii.bin
usb1:/sneek/kenobiwii.bin

cheatcode location:
use a cheatcode generator to create your .gct file, and place it on your game's partition, into this folder:
/games/GameID6/GameID6.gct

do NOT put the cheat code file into your game's folder.
games/zelda/game.iso
games/zelda/GZLP01.gct <--- will not work
games/GZLP01/GZLP01.gct <--- will work

Cheatcode from USBLoaders
Nintendont can read cheatcode file from any location when launched from an USBLoader.
Just use your favorite USBLoader to download, enable and generate your cheatcode file.
Be sure to enable Ocarina option in the USBLoader settings before launching your game and the loader will tell nintendont where is located the cheat file to use.

Cheatcode for Nintendont
Cheatcodes were all written for Gamecube and Wii in Gamecube mode.
The majority of codes are using Gamecube adresses (for example, controller's button adresses are specific for Gamecube mode).

Some codes created for Gamecube mode will not work in Nintendont running in Wii mode! the adresses are different. The controller is emulated by nintendont and the buttons trigger doesn't use the same address than games running in Gamecube mode, therefore all controller codes will have no effect : Press B to highjump, Press A to moonjump, etc...

Using Native Control option on Wii could fix it (I didn't test it, but it's using the official functions instead of nintendont emulating the controllers).

It doesn't affect only controllers, it could affect different features or even prevent the game from working if touching part of the memory used by Nintendont to run correctly.
Cheatcodes must be re-written to be fully compatible with Nintendont running in Wii mode.
To re-write cheatcode, a debugger (WiiRd) and USBGecko hardware are required.

Well thanks for all that, but i allready have the complete setup as you told me to, there. In fact i tried all ways i could imagine before writing here:
--Putting the file in:
-/codes/ID.gct
-/games/ID/ID.gct
-/games/gamename[ID]/ID.gct
-/apps/Nintendont/ID.gct (aka Launcherlocation ala USBLoader)
On both sd and usb1 (my first partition for X360 and Wii/vWii

--Enabling/Disabling Debugging, Cheats, Cheat Path, Native Controls

--Having both kenobiwii and kenobigc.bin in both sd:/sneek/ and usb1:/sneek/

--Using USBGX, OcarinaManager on Wii and GCT-Manager on PC to generate the codes

--Launching trough USBGX, cfgUSB and Nintendont

all resulting in the cheats just plainly not being executed.

so another question i´d have is whether or not it would simply be possible to run ActionReplay as "Disc1" and then my Game as "Disc2" of a game, since their database is way bigger then WiiRD´s, anyways

it's not possible to use Action replay, nintendont detect disc switching command from Nintendo's SDK (it's a specific code, used in all games released officially).
Datel is using a custom SDK and custom functions to reload a different disc, it's not sending the swap command, so nintendont doesn't try to reload the second disc and stay on Action Replay disc.

maybe you tried code which doesn't work, or game which doesn't work with cheat codes on nintendont.
try another game, or enable only one single code, like infinite HP (no controller's code)
Try with DIOS MIOS/DIOS MIOS Lite to see if the code is working.

well, I don't know why it doesn't work without proper debugging (enable log to file, and post the logs here).
something is certainly wrong as it works for other users.

If you still got problems with cheats just download the cheats as a txt file and put it on USB or SD/txtcodes and use this to make the gct file http://wiibrew.org/wiki/CheatManager it has worked For me and put the the file in USB or SD/games/GameID/game.iso&gameID.gct.
the link does not work anymore
