I dont get why would you need an active internet connection for the exploit to work lol? Doesnt make sense.
Qr code connects to a server and does data exploit magic. Unless they are wizards and make it so you just use qr code and then it reads files from sd. But idk i feel that itll just be like ninjhaxx but obviously more access and through either the cameras qr or mii makers qr.

It will probably involve a simple download of a exploit payload. It won't take that much of a server upgrade to handle. They already have a file host for users to download the existing firmware files. What difference would it make if their customer's 3DS downloads a special payload as well? The most they might need to do is get more bandwidth allocation for the server they want the exploit stored on. Website redesign and Emunand is probably why they haven't released it yet.

Too much hassle there. If its QR based it has to have a one time download because its not practical on both sides. Alternatively it could just trigger the files on the SD card via the QR code which is more likely. The thing about Ninjahax is that its designed so that no one can take advantage of it, hence the required internet connection. GW on the other hand doesnt give a fuck since its their selling product. Imagine having a 3DS and only be able to play it in an internet area, that would suck big time. It would cost them way too much money to pull such a thing, and as you may expect theyre in to earn not to spend.

Can anyone try ordering something from 3DSgamerworld? I keep getting an error message at the second to last step of checking out.. Can't get my Gateway :'(

What do you think about the rumors of Supercard DSTWO+, real or fake? Some offical resellers have announced the discontinuation of Dstwo, for the launch of Dstwo+ in a "few days" *Deja vu*

the qr code's url just has to have the path to the sad card, it's not magic.

1 download and done = current
1 download, then 1 more download every single time the user need to re-enter gateway ability = potential future

Doubt they'd do that when they can simply change the path and give us 1 file and 1 qr code downloadable or available to scan on their website.

Where has all this assumption come from that their exploit requires the 3DS to download something from somewhere?

Most of it has stemmed from screenshots of e-mails between users/resellers in which Gateway claims their exploit work is finished, but are instead ironing out server issues. As all of their exploits are hosted offsite, people are speculating they will be serving some sort of QR Code generation or remote payload download.

It could be a one time download. In my history, I've only ever had to be connected to the Internet once to install NinjaHax, then every other time is without internet. Or maybe they could install a .cia to the sysNAND that brings you to gateway mode, essentially like a homebrew channel.

This is also wishful thinking. I would love it, but when we're end users, we can't do much whining or be very picky. :P

that homebrew esque would be great. More love for GW.
