If I wanted a AUS English model, I would have went for one. I grew up in the 80's and 90's when imports was a big thing, more so than it is today (way before the internet existed) and who cares if it's in Japanese? Everyone seems to make a big deal out of it from what I see nowadays.

Who never played MGS in Japanese and other games, figuring out stuff without no internet guides?

The Lithium battery is not an issue like it previous was either, as restrictions have lessened.

Reminds me of the time I went ahead to buy 2 Japanese copies of Final Fantasy Ring of Fates as a kid to play with my brother, and since we were idiots and didnt know Japanese, we were literally looking for loopholes and experimenting, and most of them loopholes actually worked, even though it actually is kinda dumb to begin with.

I got my white one just now from them its on 8.1 not a LL though just the regular sized one

I ordered my AUS N3DS XL from Play Asia. It arrived a couple days earlier than it was supposed to.

Superufo.com is cheap and ships fast too from what I hear. I ordered mine from Nippon-yassan and it arrived about a week after I ordered it and it arrived on 9.1 n this was a couple weeks ago that I received it

Thanks it's seems most of LL from Nippon are 9.1,except the Limited edition are on 8.X.

Check the price of shipping. The only decent option is ems speedpost, which puts the price at around 196. You could choose the airmail parcel option to save 10 bucks (no tracking), but for something worth 200 dollars I'd rather spend an extra 10 to get the 3ds from a better, more reliable vendor.

I'd like to know this as well. This is the vendor I'm looking to buy the JP 3ds from. According to someone earlier, using EMS avoids any fees but I'd still like some confirmation from another user.
Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), I've got until the 5th of Jan to change my mind.
F*ck it I went ahead and ordered the one from Nippon Yasan. I'd rather not take the risk that the ones they ship out on Jan 5th are with the 9.3 firmware.

Owh Ive got my eye on this one even though it costs more than the actual LL one. All in all even with the fees you get it for less than you would a PAL version.

Which one? I just placed an order for the standard black one. The premium 3DS LL's are only ~$15 dollars more. I would pick one up, but I like a simple back plate.

Its ok I edited my post. Im still thinking should I buy the limited edition one with 8.1 on it or an LL which is like 10 euros cheaper.
