I paid for a sky3ds blue button flash cart from www.r4flashcart.com on the 11th of December. It's now 8 days later and it still hasn't shipped despite the sales page (http://www.r4flashcart.com/26-sky3d...ds-games-on-the-latest-version-3ds3ds-xl.html) showing tons in stock.

I've contacted support and they keep telling me to wait as their shipment has yet to arrive from sky3ds. I'm actually pretty pissed they're selling pre-orders as in-stock. On asking them to cancel my order so I can order it elsewhere, they said they could, but it would take 10-15 work days for the money to reach my account. I elected to just wait it out though expressed to them my displeasure.

Is this a common reseller practice? I'm not finding a ton of user experience reports for this website via google. Should I be worried about my order?

could somebody CLEAN the hacking and homebrew section of this "what it a good idea to order from X retailer?", "2 days since i ordered GW", "gw finally arrived" "recommended retailer in X" Threads?

I don't think that's common. Likely these guys just don't know how to run an online store.
I imagine most sites haven't gotten the blue button model yet though as it's just released, and with Christmas right around the corner everyone's probably on vacation anyway so you may as well wait a while longer.

They are actually listed as an official reseller on sky3ds.com which is the main reason I went with them. I suppose I should have done a bit more research prior to ordering. Bleh...

Thanks Melon__Bread

well I mean it is as The Real Jdbye said, with these new products these people act like they have never ran a online shop before

I'm sorry phanteon. Is there a section more suitable for this thread? It wasn't my intent to annoy anyone, mods have my permission to delete this if that's the case.

Really appreciate the feedback offered. I've decided to e-mail them back and cancel my order. I've already ordered from somewhere else that has a more established history. I just hope they're not selling pre-orders as in-stock as well =\

If they're giving you that big a window for a refund, I'm thinking they may just be trying to stop you from pulling a charge-back once you realize their scam.

Check the time limit with your bank/credit card company, and if it falls within those fifteen days, beat the bastards to the punch.

I ordered a Gateway from r4flashcart on 12/30/14 and due to the New Year holiday, the order processing was delayed. I received a tracking number on 01/04/15 and it is Priority 2-day so it should be here by the end of the week. I ordered another card from RealHotStuff before hearing from r4flashcart just in case the order fell through with r4flashcart. I've had good experience with RealHotStuff in the past so I should be getting at least one Gateway this week. I'll update as I receive more information on r4flashcart. I do see that Gateway listed them as an official reseller so I would hope that they will maintain a good reputation.

Did you ever receive your gateway? I ordered one from r4flashcart today.

Yes, I received my Gateway from r4flashcart and RealHotstuff. Both work well and I've successfully downgraded my black 2011 3DS from 9.2 U to 4.2 U. The only thing I wish I still had access to was my ambassador GBA games as they don't play in Gateway's emunand (yet or maybe ever). I had to format my sysnand to separate it from my emunand as my folders kept getting rearranged whenever I rebooted. Since the shop is no longer available on 4.x, my only option for those GBA games would be to transfer them to a system with the latest firmware or just play them on my GBA SP/GameBoy Micro. It might be possible to install them as .cia on CFW, but again, the CFW will be emunand and not sysnand. The NES ambassador games work as they're just VC games in a NES emulator.

A few suggestions on micro SDXC cards:
I originally ordered a Sandisk Ultra 64GB micro SDXC card from Amazon, but after only a few days, the card stopped working. I got a different card from Samsung called the Samsung Evo and it has been working like a champ. I would advise to not use Sandisk Ultra as it doesn't seem all that reliable.

Cool, I've downgraded once already just to check out the cfw (I have a dstwo) but then I restored to my 9.2 nand. I'm still not sure if I'm going to downgrade when I get my gateway or just use the browser exploit to get to emunand.

I made a purchase on teensy, money has been taken from my account, but my account on their site still says that I just have a gateway in the checkout. Not sure how to proceed.

Yeah, the browser exploit is easy enough to use, but it requires Internet to trigger the exploit. I have seen people using Android apps to deliver the payload, but I don't have an Android phone so using the DS profile exploit works better for me on the go. If I were to play on an air plane, I'd need to pay for in-flight Wi-Fi to trigger the exploit if my 3DS was turned off and it's not worth the money lol.

Of course having to use my phone/tablet wouldn't be ideal. I'll probably end up downgrading it again when I need to.

Just make sure that your eShop account/Nintendo ID is linked before you downgrade. This way you have access to the eShop on your emunand.

They are already linked. I don't think I actually could link them now if they weren't right? Since you probably have to be on 9.4 now to link them.
