My eachmall.me Gateway cards came in like this...

Well, at least it's original and works... :P

Aw crap, I just got mine from eachmall.me on Friday, time to open the package early and ruin the Christmas spirit.

I will! Thank you for the tip ^^, I wish with my dad but, weeeellll

Well, you need to remove the stickers and put them, you know? xD, If the "almost middle" pin is longer than the others, it's a original gateway
Found out about the sticker thing, but finding a plastic bag containing my products seems unprofessional. Probably an eachmall thing.

Just curious - anyone know if there's a site that allows you to create custom faceplates for the N3DS?

Or, you know, be patient? Seriously dude, the amount of time you spend on these forums is insane. Get a hobby or some friends to keep you occupied. After all, this is just video games.

Once the update drops, I think you're going to find yourself feeling unfulfilled and depressed that you spend the last months bitching on a forum over an FPGA update. Experience life.
It is possible to have a fufilling life AND be excited or passionate over something seemingly trivial (forum/flashcard). His life may be more fufilling than yours for all you know.

From a business aspect this whole thing is mindfucking. Gateway knows they have a legitimate competitor, they fully understand their competitors product works on every firmware currently on the market. Pretty sure Gateway exists with the sole purpose to make money. With that said, why in the hell they dont put SOMETHING out for 9.0-9.2 users, even if in beta form, is beyond me. After so long even the most faithful will abandon ship and go the Sky route if something isnt released in the very near future. Confused.

Well, that is... Humm.

The red card does not store the kernel. It stores the ROMs.
I'm sure they're referring to the FPGA update procedure. i.e. what is actually stored on the red card itself (Gateway firmware) as opposed to the microSD card it houses (ROMs).

You mustn't forget people what everybody was saying (the admin of the official forum included) when their website (gatewait)was down and supposedly nothing was going to come out of it, and from nowhere they released the update for 4.5, sometimes I think that they are just the living and breathing example of the chaos theory that Malcom explained in Jurassic Park

Just because they were able to show a working hack doesn't mean they have a one-click easy installer for it yet. A one-click easy installer is what takes time to complete. I'd rather they release something that is easy to install and works 100% than releasing something confusing to install and possibly brick my N3DS in the process. We've seen the proof. There is no reason to jump ship just because you have no patience. By the time you get your Sky3DS, Gateway will probably have released their update.

Welp, guess that's my cue then. Bye guys, goin' to sell my 3DS, Gateway and flip a lotta' f*cking tables over my way.

but seriously though jesus f*cking christ to one person a month is more than reasonable to another person they wanna launch before xmas wtf man cmon seriously stop this shit

Enthusiasm is something great, but seriously: you're trying way too hard. What are you going to do if GW releases the update; these games you'll be able to play, they aren't that great. From my point of view, only a handful of them will be worth to play.

And yes, you might be "The Hypeway Train Driver", but I very much doubt that writing in this thread will have an influence on the release date. It's done when it's done. Just be patient.

Hey my AUS N3DS arrived, and it has 9.0 on it, so how do i tell gateway to hurry it up?

also i hate how the N3DS has the stylus at the front... it's really awkward to take out and put back in. It should be at the right side

I think the Amiibo/NFC chip is to blame for both the stylus and game slot relocation. All because they decided to use the center of the touch screen for Amiibo placement.

Does anyone else other than play asia sell the australian 3ds? It's up to a 1-2 week ship time

Think you missed the very first words of my post. From a business standpoint. I dont even own a 3ds so I couldnt give 2 shits regardless, Im just confused about a company who exists with the sole intent to make money working a bit more diligently to appease their fanbase. They are playing catch up here, and doing it very slowly.
