The most important subforum of 3DS in GBATemp just got terribly violated and fragmented in 3... Now I'll have to check 3 different fucking subforums for news...
yeah i noticed that earlier......bummer :(, although it is kinda nice if you want to find out about new homebrew rather than wade through 14 different "my (insert random game doesnt work on sky3ds", or "i cant use online on sky3ds" etc, i swear that thing has done more harm than good :P.....at least us hypetrainees spam in the one thread (mostly)

Welp my fucking new 3ds doesn't have a working touch screen so I have to fucking send it in and wait who knows how long.

try the touch screen calibiration shortcut
2. Use menu shortcuts- Hold L+R+Y when you press the power button to take you to the circle-pad calibration screen. Hold L+R+X to take you to the touch screen calibration calibration screen.

how do I reach those shortcuts? it takes me to the language selection screen once more
hmmm should take you directly to the touchscreen calibration thing.......just tested it on my original XL.....one sec ill check on my n3ds ...never know they might of changed the combo maybe.....just make sure you hold the buttons before hitting power

EDIT: yeah works on the n3DS too

Maybe it has something to do with I haven't reached the home screen yet at all, just stuck on selecting a language.

possibly, but i was pretty sure its designed to bypass the normal startup sequence.....maybe it does only work after the initial setup though :S

yep....keep them held then press power...its a bit awkward but doable (not sure how long you need to hold them just keep them held until it comes on properly i.e a actual screen.....for better or worse
