i'm fairly sure this means that instead of a newer release, support for sysnand 9.x will be a fork version of gateway, and they will keep updating both versions in parallel. Oh well, at least now with this out of the way, they can focus 100% on 9.x

so, I guess 8.1 Jap 3DS update will come soon. I really really really hope that the 8.1 comes with Final Fantasy Explorers. That Comes out thursday, correct? If it does have 9.0 -9.2 I'm importing that immediately.

IDK, how much do you value portability? it must be much easier to carry all games in one micro sd. Also is it on discount? micro sd's go on sale quite a bit.

Skullcandy earphones are pretty good for mobile devices. I have this pair, and I´m happy with them and they are dirty cheap

I think that eventually they will say 4.5 users to update sysNand to 9.2.

The situation is: I've got a 5€ gift card, maybe I'll receive a 10€ one Tuesday. I value portability a lot, but I don't mind just sticking to 3-5 games depending on their size. I'd rather do that to be honest lol. So I'm weighing in on buy a pair of earphones for that extra cool sound. This is the model I'm looking at: SENNHEISER MX 375

Sennheiser is a great brand you can never go wrong with them. I have the hd 518 and they sound incredible paired wit a dac.

so emunand support, wasnt not expecting it first though.

atleast we know now that gateway are most definitly using parts of Ninjhax's entrypoint since 9.3 and further support is out of the question. And thanks to Ninjhax atleast part of it was blocked. Support lower then 8.0 is not needed because we can update through retail games.
Seeing as 9.0 support has seemingly the same functions as 4.5 devices except 1 feature, Emunand.. why would it take so long after they show off that video.. because they want to give users continuous support with the card.
they want the user to be able to acces Eshop and play future retail games that require 9.3+ firmware.. so what do they need. Emunand.

tl:dr they are currently adding emunand support to 9.0-9.2 native .

I would buy new earphones and use old ones for gaming and new ones for everyday music

This may sound strange but take a look at the iPhone 5/6 headphones. They are awesomely built and offer really really good sound.
