Stop being so negative about sky3ds, the only downside I see is the stupid 10 game limit, someone is bound to do something about it. Back on the update issue. Has any verified any games yet that has the 9.2 update?

Can't you check that 3ds game backup release site for that info? Forgot the url

Yeah but you can't use a Japanese Rom in a sky3ds to update a USA 3ds on 8.x to 9.0-.2, which was the question.

If you own one, then why not try it yourself?

Because I have a 4.5xl and a gateway. Someone else was s wanting to buy a sky3ds thinking it would let him have region free to update the nand to 9.0-.2

You cannot update from another region to update. Simple. To be clear, US 3ds will not accept a firmware update from JPN 3ds. Its never worked that way for any gaming platform, highly doubt it works in this situation. So far I haven't read any games that have the 9.0-9.2 update.

Because thats how the forum works. People need multiple answers around here since a lot of the questions are the most insane ones to be asked even before release, even without asking the creators. They come straight to the forums looking for it. So they get it.

Lolno. Because it's a theme, there's a firmware requirement of 9.0. Nothing more.

Glad that I bought a AUS 3DS yesterday on play asia, now no more stock before next week it seems ...

I don't know why people are so worried about this. Turn off WiFi, can't be more simple; no WiFi, no block.

I won't update for a while, but I have MM 3D on preorder and will probably have to update for that game. Not gonna miss out on that amazing release, but maybe there will be a solution by then?

Forget updating i'm waiting for the next emunand update if I do update it'll be after my 3DS gets modded.
