Well, I looked up Nintendos announcement with some bad google translations... What I see is their pre announced update about the e-money you can use in Japan like the suica or passmo card.
Dunno how the history of Ns updates looks like and how fast they update globally after they released the update for japan...

Changes to the HOME Menu:

So.. maybe we'll either see if gateway works on 9.3 or if emunand works..

They haven't even released the exploit yet, so there's no way to be sure as of yet, but I'm stoked to find out too B) Either way, Gateway will find their way around it.

btw guys dont panic just yet im pretty sure nintendo would of rushed 9.0 into some games that are going to be released soon....you know they added themes and stuff so i doubt they would just skip the 9.0-9.2 updates....lets face it the updates for carts would of been pushed before there was any gateway announcement and i doubt they will scrap a load of games just to make none have 9.0-9.2 on them

2) You can stay on 8.x. We don't know if the exploit DOESN'T work on it yet

3) At least you can now WAIT for the firmware to be available on retail carts.
