i thought you had N3DS console,in this case why didn't you sell your 3DS XL & Buy one with 4xxx Firmware or even a N3DS XL at least then the waiting will be more worth it ?

im category 5. buys everything. waits for update and hardly play
it will happen, that's why Nintendo have brought out a new model lol.
History says otherwise The New 3DS is a stop gap upgrade not an actual new platform, and like almost every upgrade of this sort in the console world it will lack proper support from developers. As cool as the New 3DS is and as much as I want one, it is Nintendo's DSi of this generation. It's a chicken and egg thing that has been an almost constant truth over many generations.
The install base of the Old 3DS is much larger than the New 3DS. Making the Old 3DS your target platform means your software works on both. Devs will keep making software for the Old until they feel the install base of the New is large enough to abandon the old. Maybe bonus features for the New (like C stick support) will be added, but we will see very few exclusives. Lack of exclusives will keep users from buying the New as they wait for more dedicated software... Devs wait for critical mass, we wait for software that doesn't come until we buy more New 3DS's.
Pfft, he belongs in category 5. He had enough money for 1 , 2 and 3
Has 4.5 , has 9.x and has New 3ds
Nah. The money I'd get from selling my 3DS XL wouldn't be enough to cover half (well ok, it would) the cost of shipping an AUS N3DS. I just want to tell everyone I'm on the phone with my bank, trying to refund my purchase from Modchipdirect. Do not order from them. Other people have complained of similar issues previously. They sold out, charged by bank, charged an exchange fee on top of that, and they didn't communicate with me for a week. Now they are out of stock asking for another 48 hours to ship. Thanks for that "same day" shipping, and the great communication. Also thanks for charging me a ghost fee. They are not truly located in the US. Somewhere in Asia and they are not trustworthy.
Pfft! Do not! :'( .. I wish.. If I already had a 4.5 system I wouldn't be whinning here.
I did buy the Gateway card on impulse though, so I guess I'd fit in.. #2? I already had those games for a long time now. They don't count

I have a 4.5 XL with gateway and a ps vita and a gameboy micro. and all i can think of is that new 3ds xl waiting at home that i didnt even seen yet.
I feel like i have nothing to play cause i cant play on my new 3ds yet #gamerproblems.
Strange, I just got a GW from them via USPS first class mail. It arrived in 4days... 5 if you count the day that I ordered it which was a Sunday.
It tracked like this:View attachment 12600
Looks like it came from Buffalo. And there was no way they had time to ship it from Asia to New York in time to fake this w/o spending $100 in shipping.
Sorry, you're having problems, but they clearly have a presence in Buffalo, NY, USA..
Apple iphones would disagree with the 'history says otherwise' always a model in between releases and they always get purchased and supported.
Do you think I should wait to cancel my order then? I ordered less than a week ago, but I need to have it delivered within a week or I won't be on location for over a month.
iPhones aren't dedicated gaming consoles and Apple customers are consumer whores.
About the only way the New 3DS can overcome the chicken & egg scenario is to stop selling the Old units... Now.
OTOH, the CPP might actually see some success in getting support now... And NO a dozen games out of over 350 US releases is not a success.
they have stopped making them, next will be stop selling them.. you cant stop the inevitable
Writing on its official website, as translated by Siliconera, Nintendo stated that it will cease production of its older XL model. However, it appears that the original 3DS will not be shelved.
Since the New Nintendo 3DS XL is currently only available in Japan and Australia, it's not likely that the older model will be discontinued elsewhere, for now. In a statement to GameSpot, the company wrote: "Nintendo 3DS XL is still available in Europe and no announcements have been made. "
