Am I the only one more interested in the fact that it's implied that Majora's Mask is a legitimate remake and not just an enhanced port? Like, new Zelda looks cool, don't get me wrong. After being disappointed with Skyward Sword, I may be one of those people who eventually buys a Wii U pretty much just to play this game. I think it's nice that they're spending more time on the core of Majora's Mask though rather than just worrying about the graphics.

What do you mean dude SS best zelda game ever. IGN gave it 10/10, must be good right? WM+ is best control scheme for zelda, that's why they are clearly keeping it as an integral part of this game.

Looks nice. And they're showing off decent game footage. :)

Only moment of doubt was when they said that the entire staff team is working on it (to ensure a 2015 release). And a few moments later that Majora's mask 3DS will be released first. If so...then who's working on THAT title?
Yeah, a different team, obviously. But that makes the whole statement rather hollow ("the whole staff that's working on this Zelda title is now working on this Zelda title!").

Not really. You're playing with the gamepad this time around. And most people don't have a third arm so they can both hold the touchpad (with 2 hands) and hold a wiimote plus. ;)

I like how they're adjusting the smaller details that can make a game more enjoyable like Epona's auto-control.

One thing that worries me though is that it'll end up like Skyward Sword. I enjoyed Skyward Sword as a game but in the end I found myself progressing through the game just to see the ending and that's kind of bad considering to me a Zelda game is all about the adventure. With all of that space they could make a wonderful game but on the other hand they could make a very bland and uninteresting game as well.

With that being said I can't wait to see what happens in the next year.

In open world or big outdoor area games, I always feel like there's nobody outside of towns.
You encounter only enemies, Town's people never go outside (unless part of a quest, but it's at a specific place on the map). meeting random travelers (or fake gamers/heros/NPC groups fighting enemies too) not always at the same place would feel more lively.

That will probably be my next game.
Zelda and Xenoblade. (one game per year, yeah)

Moving your arms is so tedious and weird. I don't even do it for everyday life. /s

They seem to have lower the color from before, but that might just be the TV. Looking good.

The 3ds remakes has always had a different team with Grezzo.

This is what I've been waiting for! I hope they release a special Wii-U for it. The Windwaker one was a little lacking

I'm very happy to see the GamePad touch screen put to good use in a game. Adding beacons to points of interest, having the entire map right at your fingertips, and what seemed like a button to access inventory (bottom right, at the 0:49 mark). Also notice how the GamePad shows the clock time at the top! Aonuma said in the beginning they put effort into making players notice the different times of day (e.g. sunset), so I'm really hoping this game will have time-based challenges / puzzles.

With this and Xenoblade Chronicles X both shaping up to be huge open world games, I really don't know how I'll survive next year without serious sleep problems.

if theres nothing to populate such a large overworld then its kind of pointless, it will have the same problems as just cause 2

At least Just Cause 2 had a ton of crazy shenanigans to do. Every mission was unique from each other (not just "reskinned" missions like Far Cry 3 or Assassin's Creed), mechanics pushed for fun, crazy, flowing gameplay, and the world just generated stories. You can easily talk about how you were outrunning 5 cops, flew your car into a police helicopter, grappled the other helicopter, hijacked it, and flew away while gunning down all the remaining police. And that's a boring story for JC2.

That's just it. Skyward Sword was heavily based on Gameplay and Story. The adventure part was still there, but the world felt linear. XP
