Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

but Gateway may never be able to run those exclusive games if it gets blocked by Nintendo too soon as no doubt Nintendo will be making sure all future N3DS titles will require higher firmware than 9.2

That saying that Gateway may never be able to go above. Chances are it may still happen, time will tell.

it will only be able to go above if it has Emunand & from the look of things thus far it doesn't look like the newly found 9.0-9.1-9.2 hack has Emunand.

also you can ask the Gateway team any question you like & they will answer but once you ask them about Emunand support in the upcoming 9.0-9.2 hack they won't reply back.

maybe i should ask them if they recommend i update my 4.5 to 9.2 before nintendo releases thier 9.3 update,they will probably say NO please stay at 4.5 because they know it's the best firmware (emunand=future proof).

You're probably right on that.

They may just not want to say yes or no at the moment as they are not sure themselves.

the smart Gateway team know exactly what they're doing,i think they don't want to say anything yet so it does not effect current increase of sales. i think the new Gateway hack is just a modified version of the SKY3DS hack but i could be wrong.

Fair point, considering that they made the 'breakthrough' pretty much around the same time as SKY3DS... It probably is

Sky3ds just emulates an real cartridge, but this new gateway thingy is just completely different it seems, since youre able to use fancy things like multirom menu or also the dev menu. Taht rquires an Kernel Exploit. Thats completely different to sky3ds. Everyones asking about Emunand, it will be possible, il think. But theres no newer FW then 9.2, right? So why show emunand if its not needed instead waiting for when its needed and give the users the feeling that they still care about continuess support, thats marketing.

Theyd also not commented on other features before the video was up, eveyrone speculated its only just like sky3ds, they proofed it isnt. Now they didnt show off emunand yet and everyine thinks its not gonna happen. They got kernel access, they proofed it with showing off dev menu, installing cia´s etc. They just now how to marketing there product. Il bet the "breakthrough" happned already some time ago, just that they waited for an good time to release it. Now with sky3ds, smealums exploit, CFW on 4.5 they just need to pull it out.

it is the same, if you have used the english 3ds, however if i were to recommend at this point you might as well order the pal new 3ds on play-asia. not only is it english its more or less the same price. oh and it also comes with firmware 9.0 so you dont need to worry about updating it and speed of the shipment.

But if they have emunand they would put it as a feature because let's face it, it's a huge feature. They could of shown the JAP 9.1 emunand running 9.2. Food for thought

Gateway, with its current feature list is already the best way to go right now. They already covering the latest fw with its current setup. So why show something off NOW? Theres no reason to do so. Publicly is going to be higher if they got some good news to come over time. They got kernel access, they prooved it. Before that, it was the same argumentation for the other features (like dev menu, cia etc) like now with the emnunand, that its just not gonna happen. But they prooved them all wrong, and so they will proove peoples wrong whose thinking emunand isnt possible. You need kernel access to do cia installing, thats what some well knowned hackers said so, so they got an kernel exploit

In the end, its all about the money... alls marketing

tbh fw spoofing would probably suffice for a good while unless nintendo up the ante and add new encryption keys again

Peoples went out and bought ninja cube, or also some bought sky3ds. Which are both most likely getting patched (ninjhax got no kernel access so no emunand, skye3ds is just emualting a cartridge, so no emunand, since kernel access is required). Gateway 3DS is the best way to go right now, nothing else is giving you kernel access on current firmwares. Gateway can just do it like that, with the emunand, since theres no alternative. Il bet a few days after 9.3 J/E/U is out, theyl gonna show emunand within a few days, so peoples gonna see that they continously working on there product. But thats just my opinion =)

I was realy skeptical back in the days where no one knowd about the company called gateway, and first rumors of an 3ds flashcard came up. But theyd showd an continous support, so il think they will do in the future.
