Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

the smart Gateway team know exactly what they're doing,i think they don't want to say anything yet so it does not effect current increase of sales. i think the new Gateway hack is just a modified version of the SKY3DS hack but i could be wrong.

I don't think it is because sky3ds works on every 3DS firmware version but gateway says their new exploit only supports 9.0-9.2 right now. For this reason I would imagine the 9.3 update will also work fine.

If you purchased an AUS New 3DS you can sleep soundly. They come with 9.0 out of the gate so no rush to update it. Heres my review so far.

Thanks for the confirmation bud. I may pick one up for archiving purposes I think. If Gateway is supported in the future with updates, well can't say no to new hardware

yeah me too, i have saw the 4.5cf when it was put on youtube but i really didn't mind about getting a n3ds. when i saw the gw vid my mind just blowed up xD

Thanks Hex. I called my brother about it. When we were growing up I told him Pokemon was lame... Then I saw some kid playing it, our birthdays are close and when grandpa took me to get us presents, I picked out red and green for us. I told him "I know what I said but Pokemon is cool." Lol fast forward now... "Do you remember when I told you Pokemon was cool?" I told him about the N3DS and the gateway situation, we both had DS's. For me its worth it for keeping boxed. I listed the features and the cons to him, he ordered one that day. I bought mine before they released the video. I trusted gateway. I couldn't believe 9 days later they released a VIDEO. Emunand? Maybe it was an oversight... Maybe thats what they're working on? Maybe they don't want to change their website for each version and they are going to support EVERYTHING if we give them time. We'll see either way I'm happy with 100% on what we have now. I can't wait to play OOT in full stable 3D. Its really worth it right there, because the 3D of the 3DS has always been a selling point to me. Everything else is icing on the cake. Can we ask for more? A 9.0 sitting in the box on brand new Nintendo hardware? I'm sorry but I'm in the U.S anyways. I'd pay $40 bucks to have certain tech months before I'm supposed to.

I've seen a lot of reviews of it. Everyone is so immediately critical. I think that from a psychological standpoint people are immediately associating it with a thinkpad button. I played MSG and RE with it and handed it to my wife. Shes not biased towards one thing or another, and she was more likely to put it down because I threw down near $300 bucks for a handheld. To my surprise she complimented the knob on a FPS (wth) saying she liked the way it didn't move around. It gave her increased stability and she demonstrated moving the RE camera around gently and quickly. First time through MSG I felt loose swinging it around, third time through the demo map I was aiming right where I wanted to. I didn't have a circle pad pro, so I didn't get used to something else before it. It really is reminiscent of the gamecube c-stick, but in a better place.

well i installed a US theme that had been, or at least attempted to be patched for region free, it installed fine, but when i went to the theme screen the 3ds just froze, so i tried again and the same, so i just went into dev menu and uninstalled it, and it still just kept freezing even though it was deleted, i just restored my emunand backup......now i think its probably fine in most situations as long as people get the cia files from trusted sources, but it does go to show that its not 100% safe

I ordered my japanese n3ds off ebay, and my gateway3ds off nds-card. now I just play the waiting game. I'm kind of scared though, because it was a used (but very good condition he says). I don't know if he updated it to 9.x or kept it on 8.0 . i hope i get it in time so i can rest peacefully

How much did you buy it for? You could always get a refurbished one at the Nintendo website.
