AWWWWWW....they won't ship outside of AUS

Screw it.......I'll wait for the new 3ds.

Seriously, grab a JP import, if you don't want to wait for a NA version or a over priced AU one. It's only locked to JP Eshop and JP menus and region lock. But if what this video is showing non of that will matter with a GW card.

I don't think anyone will give two shits to them now, it be only dopes who'll be interested in it. GW have owned the scene after this announcement.

I think only the people who already bought one will care at this stage.

Pretty much sums up Gateway and the flashcart scene atm

Isn't Sky 3DS likely to get rid of the 10 game limit officially now?
I wouldnt count on it since theres no way to update the card. They made a really stupid move placing the limit. I wouldnt expect them to return after the epic fail they made. And who in their right mind would choose a Sky3ds over GW

How i felt after hearing 10 games livetime limit for Sky 3DS: Beeing greedy will strike back. Maybe they will lift it with an update now ;)

Basically this. They are in fact a business, and since they are a funded business with what seems to be an actually functioning R&D department, having 9.x support is huge economically because it greatly expands their user base. Sky3DS might continue into the future, but Gateway has the community in it's hands because it allows not only piracy and homebrew, but also emuNAND which allows users to stay up to date and participate online. sky3DS might update to 10.x somehow, but their key advantage has worn thin.

Do we know for sure that it'll support emuNAND with the newest update, because some site are reporting that it wont?

There is no official answer yet. Not even gateway has given one (that I'm aware of). Right now anything is just speculation, take it with a grain of salt.

Some sites were also reporting that it'd be single ROM, no homebrew, etc. No, Gateway haven't explicitly confirmed emuNAND yet, but it's looking likely going by everything else they've demonstrated.

emunand still will have to be supported unless GW can guarantee to be able to break every next firmware nintendo release.

There is no "GW3D" before the system menu version numbers in the settings menu.... No emuNAND?

Much like other posts have stated, quite a few times at this point, we do not know. There is no answer. Just because it wasn't there in the brief demonstration video, doesn't mean it is not nor will it not be there. It's a key part to Gateway, so either way is speculation.

Unlike the 4.5 exploit, the new one doesn't involve exploiting something in the settings menu. Thus you won't see the gateway version number. They could easily add one later though when/if they add emunand support. Unlike the 4.5 exploit, there isn't a "gateway mode" this time around. It looks to be a simple pop in and play yo roms instantly type of deal. This is a completely different animal to the old 4.5 days.

Thus Classic Mode is not needed at all. Emunand and Region Unlock with retail carts is still speculation at this point, but they definitely mentioned having region unlock for roms. Time will tell how it will all work I guess.

If so, does that mean we won't be able to backup our sysNAND and the like?
