ROM Hack [RELEASE] Fantasy Life Save Viewer/Editor

I was messing around with my hexeditor and i noticed something with my open files... The first section remained unique to each set of char files. On a hunch i thought it might be holding the appearance data so i copy pasted that unique section from one char onto another to see if it would change the appearance.

Actually that data holds the equipped gear for the character and the length of time they were in the game... [changed from 72 hours to 28 seconds, my starting char] --also the physical 3d models do not change but in the character info it said i was wearing the starting clothes when you first start the game, no weapon, even though i had on a dragon suit and staff on visibly. as soon as i tried to go into gear [in inventory] to see why it said castele blouse when i was wearing a dragon suit, it froze [because the values were different from the 3d models i'm guessing].

i dunno if op or anyone can use this, but at least it generally narrows down one small section lol. i was hoping to find appearance so i could copy over a char i made with dlc facial options over one without dlc options but o well : P

here's pic of the offset, the very first chunk of info [which turns out to be what's equipped/time in game]. and thanks again to op and everyone contributing to this tool! : )

0x50 - byte - Time (seconds), item, appereance/item is started on 0x60 - so far i know is used 60 byte for each of them, just look repeated FF FF FF FF. is also gender is include on that region (item/bag or other).

I had already noticed that ;)
I tried using it for the "gender" feature but it's "useless" if your equipped gear is "gender oriented" :P hehe
So I decided not to use it and put the small information message when modifying gender...

The "appearance" as you mentioned should be near the gender but I had not poke around it yet :)

for item region, is split into 2 part, 1 for bag (500) and other for storage. on storage is split into 3 diff group, 1 for item itself (is not really 1500 item ...), 1 for furniture, 1 for gender (lol, since is on last entry) ...

skill life is on 0x1fb30 - 0x1fc58 (hold 37 skills), 8 byte for each skill, start from "Accessory Alchemy" , and end with "Water Magic".

Well, I assume that there are some extra (secret) features you won't mention here. But then you used the :unsure: emoticon, making it seem like you weren't sure yourself.
But hm... You're saying you dropped hints somewhere about these other features?

Well, unfortunately it's not a save feature so to speak, but there's indeed something "hidden"
 
By the way, how does one access the DLC content (for both singleplayer and multiplayer)? Complete the storyline first?
 
Skill editing would certainly be a welcome addition to your wonderful program.


Reaching level 15 skill in crafts such as cooking is such a monotonous task.
Thanks to andibad I'm announcing the skills editing for a near future. It'll be properly "credited" :)

You have to "fulfill" a set of pre-reqs
1) Download the DLC (obvious I know :P )
2) End the mais story
3) Reach lvl 50
4) Talk to Noelia and Yelia
5) Talk to Pam

I guess that's the order
 
i still haven't figured out the secret, want to pm me so i can take a look? :D

im looking forward to skills editing too, i cant wait to be able to have maxed out dashing and sword play
