You should give someone a free copy of the game provided that they promise to program a certain homebrew application.

Honestly right now it seems like thousands of people are getting the game hoping to play homebrew games and software while only a much smaller fraction of people that are capable of developing something are able to run the exploit while the select few are profiting big time on someone else's work.

If I get the game as a gift I promise I will totally post stupid YouTube videos of it, then show people how awesome i am, and then paste advertisements all over my channel telling people to subscribe knowing they will never be able to use this exploit because it's sold out everywhere.

Just kidding

If you only need the game to install the exploit/homebrew menu the first time, then why is it being scalped so bad? Just keep your copy, and install it on people's 3DS's for them.

I managed to grab a copy pre-scalp and pre-announcement for $5 from gamestop, looking for a nice cheap game for my nephews' 3DS.
The kids didn't like it so much, and let me trade it to them for a different game. :)

Since I have a copy... once the exploit is available, anyone around eastern Long Island who needs it installed, PM me, get in contact, and I'll do it for you, gratis. (In other words, free. It'd be a real d-bag move to charge for homebrew.)
I won't be doing shipping just yet, only on-site. If it's anything like I think it will be (pop in game, launch exploit, back up NAND, patch system and install the app) it should be a ten-minute job.

I recommend other people here do the same, and offer their services. Assuming of course, the game isn't required to launch homebrew, only to install the menu/bootstrap the exploit. I haven't read too much on ssspwn yet, as I've had a 4.5 XL for a while and I don't plan on using it on my own legit 9.x 3DS, either.

You have to have the game in every time you boot the launcher

Can I please have a copy of the Cubic Ninja? I really want to develop homebrew and use it. I am learning a lot of coding at college and would want to try to develop things for the 3ds? However, I have no money to spare and the copies that are left are very expensive. If you choose me, I will be very happy.

Kindness? From one user to another? In 3DS hacking & homebrew? Those copies will start collecting dust and be be considered retro before kindness happens around here!

On a serious note, cool idea man. There is some light at the end of the cubic ninja price inflation tunnel!

Ah. Perhaps someone will work on making an untethered, permanent installation. Being able to run executable code greatly increases the attack surface on the system.

I'd agree this was a noble endeavor, but only if the cards were sure to reach the hands of those who could make the most out of it rather than just users. If they're just gonna go to whoever, why bother wasting your time, they will still get hawked after bought from you.

Well if there is any chance then here is mine:

I asked a pal in the US to reserve a game for me (He only went to a certain gamestop and no game),there is another one that has a reservation, but nothing 100% accurate).
If he gets it ill update my post saying I have one.

I live in another country that hasnt even the option of getting it by normal means, there is no option of searhing for the game(I bet there isnt even more than 10 copies before this was released to get for homebrew),he can send a copy next month if he ever gets one.

One copy would mean easy access to something I know others will profit here( Either selling the hombrew channel installation for at least 20 to 30$ which is rediculous),I want to reduce this to a margin of cero by all means.

If I do have a chance my pal could recieve it.

Thank you and still this is by ANY means nothing to my favor, just not wanting for others to profit without at least not donating to the cause to get awesome homebrew to the community which I know many that profit with this will NOT do.

If it counts for anything:

I was working till one quiet evening, when a lady came to my till. She gave me her items and I proceeded to put them through. I tell her the total, and she gives me cash, as well as change. She's counting out the change, and she discovered that she was short by a mere 10¢. Instead of dicking over 10¢, I just let her go, because she only had her essentials. Having to take out one essential to meet that shortcoming was really unfair to me, and I thought that enough extra change was left in the tills that 10¢ was a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. Besides, 10¢ could be interpreted as just a mere counting error or something. Nothing too big.

And not 20 seconds later did another lady short my friend two tills down $10.

This is an awesome thread. There are a lot of Cubic Ninja here sold at local game stores. They go for less than $20 but that's the price it has always been, getting a used one would take a bit of searching but not impossible. No one really knows about the exploit. I only discovered one person looking for it aside from me. I'm sure prices here aren't going to jacked.

I'm only trying to get one for my cousin because he doesn't have a 3ds with lower firmware and still hasn't updated to 9.2.
My Gateway is still on its way so I'm probably not going to need the cartridge.

It's kind of sad to discover that people are hiking up the price immediately...
