Since the exploit game released yesterday,if we want to take advantage of it on the new hardware(New3DS)
should i import it from Japan or Australia instead of waiting for world wide release next year?
by then probably big N will release couple dozens of their stability updates to block it.

I'd wait. If they have blocked it on our shores before it's even released theres nothing stopping you still importing is there, there will be plenty of untouched N3DS sat on shelves right now. It's also better to wait to see what the deal is GW wise.

I'll get one depending on their announcement, what the firmware is and if I can get a decent price on one of my XL's. I love the 3DS but theres no point in having 3.

-I Hope the Gateway team is not so stupid as to now release the update for their flash card to Firmware 9.2.0 ...
I hope to be waiting at least until the New 3ds is not released also in EU-US ...
If you were to go out now updating fear that nintendo is able to block the exploit !!!
I do not understand the rush that some have in wanting to have the exploit !!!

I agree but I'm sure they won't release it before it's ready. Also the rush is they're losing martet share to Sky3DS

Personally im about to import it from AUS myself. however if you care about all those weird jpn games and fell the love for HB import one from jpn.
I would recommend play-asia.com for importing the console :)

Ehmm, this was what I was thinking???, is it worth buying one now and getting it imported over to the UK seen as it is still on 9.x FW cause I can see, well know 110% Nintendo rolling out a new 10.x update for the UK release in January to stop this exploit from Gateway happening and then it will be too late for us in the UK :(

Edit: I was going to wait for the release here in the UK part X my Boxed, Excellent Condition Aqua Blue 3DS on 4.5.0 in and pay the extra on top! that was my master plan but not sure its going to work with the FW they will probably roll out with it. I can get £90.00 part x voucher and pay the rest in cash, which I don't think is a too bad deal on a New 3DSXL which is going to be £159.99p on release! :)

Odds are (and this is speculation on my part) they are waiting for the Australian release - which is the EU region device.
And will consider 2 out of 3 'good enough'.

Right now they are catering to a crowd that can only use 4.x devices globally.
Increasing their target audience to both Japanese aswell as EU-region devices significantly increases their market share.
And considering the fact that Gateway cards have always been regionfree, it shouldn't be that big of a leap for an american user to import a New 3DS from australia.

You'd have the english software, you'd have region-free functionality from Gateway (assuming that persists) and if region-free isn't available from the start you can use the EU-games which are also english.

That way they won't lose out on waiting another 2~3 months untill the actual EU/US releases.
Not to mention, odds are EU and US devices are already in production and probably will contain 9.2 firmware at highest (atleast for the earliest batches).

Ok maybe you wrote something correct that I had missed
The New 3ds for Europe perhaps are already in production as those sold in Australia are Pal like ours in Europe ... But I wanted to know if a console with Australia can be select language other than English as: Fra-Spa.Ger - Ita-Language.
.Obviously Gateway does not expect too much say later this year I think .

I have not interest in this. I only may buy it if it is exclusive for a Pokemon game.
I think the 7th gen will appear on the next handheld.

I guess the question to ask there is - do current 3DS devices in Australia have the language select or not, like the other European devices do.
It'd be a safe bet that if the current 3DS' produce for Australia are the same as the european ones then the New 3DS will be so aswell.

You would imagine that they don't make a seperate software set for Australia, but who knows.
I guess someone who has an Australian 3DS (not New 3DS) could chime in to confirm or deny that.

ok thanks for your opinion
But maybe I did not explain well ..
If I now or in the future buy a console Australian can select from the menu setting Italian or French or Spanish language or you can use only English ??? If we Europeans we buy a 3ds Japanese have only Japanese as the default language
If we buy 3ds US there is only English Spanish and French Eshop Us region
Now I hope that you or someone else can help me
Also with 3ds australia you can access all'eshop European ??
My English is not very good so I'd rather have games in Italian language of the question now that's all I use google translator sorry for this
Now it seems to me, however, that the new 3DS will be released in Eu-Us to March-April and I do not think Nintendo produces now with 5 months in advance new3ds for EU-US
So I fear that our 3DS with firmware that will stop Exploit Gateway
I wish it were not so obvious !!!

I was going to get a Japanese N3ds,but since Smea's (cubic ninja)hack is region locked
it's a hassle to get a Japanese copy of this game(and likely Nintendo well remove it from JP eshop).
Any way i think it's difficult for them to block this loophole in future update since it's an old release and
the only way to block the exploit (I think)is by blocking the game entirely from booting and that's illegal in some part of the world.

*On side note,it seems Nintendo Germany asked retailers to return their stock of unsold Cubicninja back.

Ask someone who has an Australian 3DS if they can switch their language to Italian (I said that in my previous post).
If they can - then its a safe bet that the New 3DS will be the same and you can probably safely order one.
Otherwise, wait untill after the New 3DS has released there, ask someone who bought one and confirm to know 100% sure.

I can't find confirmation online on this so you're pretty much reliant on feedback from Australian users.

a simple google search for "3ds regions" came up with this http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Regions
Austria is part of the pal set

Edit: Sorry Austria is part of the pal set not australia
but it states that pal games and au games and system are compatible with each other
ex. au console with pal game or pal console with au game

Get one from Aus, we are part of EU region so that would leave your options open to get games in english (if thats yor native language) and you can import games from either Aus, NZ or Europe.

ok thanks for your response
So you with your 3ds-new3ds you can select the menu language setting you prefer ???
Wishing you could also select Italian or German or Spanish right ??? I would like to know this from you all here !!!
I know Europeans games that run on consoles Australia or NZ and back are both Pal Region
If a console NZ or Australian can change the language of operation for me is ok and so if Nintendo Gateway blocks with Firmware 9.3.0. or 10.0.0 well will buy a console australia
By the way, but in your country when it costs now a New 3ds- New 3ds xl?
Hello and have a nice day from Italy !!!

I got my Japanese New 3DS today and downloaded Cubic Ninja pretty much as soon as it was updated just for this reason. I was able to get it on Amazon and had it within 1 day of ordering thanks to Amazon Prime. The system is easy enough to navigate and I'm sure others are going to find a way to get the region locked removed. Even if they don't I'll still be able to take advantage of the extra hardware in home brew which is the main reason I got it.

It seems the game already been removed from Japanese eshop
