-long answer, it's probably based off of gw 1.2 because they do not have a decrypted version of the newer gateway launchers yet

see the funny thing is, that if you updated your gateway card past 2.1 this would only really be any use for taking picture of games you installed from the eshop back when 4.x was the latest FW......plus iirc 1.2 didnt even have classic mode so you cant even use it with retail card

It works, tried before.
You can take screenshot at menu/in-game and "Nintendo 3ds screen"(the screen when loading the game, with red waves one.)

cearp you can do that anyway m8 on the latest FW you just press Y & Up for up screen shot and Y & Down for a down screen shot, it was implemented in the 9.x update

yeah....but you can't do it in game....only certain games allow in game screenshots via miiverse

tpu's been pretty ahead with picking apart Gateway's stuff, glad to see him be able to make something like this with it. And "At present, the archive will be a variety of problems. So, this tool is a toy when it has been waiting to upgrade later to the latest gw. " makes me excited to see if he can do more with it.

i doubt gateway would have a issue including something like this, they probably havent so far as they have had more important things to work on, but they seem to be relaxing a bit now they have 7.x sorted and more accepting of new developments (more than likely just to keep demand for free CFW's to a minimum) but whatever the reason i guess they will probably throw it into the next update

yeah i dont see why not, but they should go with a different button combo the X+Y button combo is fucking retarded it would be going off accidentally all the time generating image files and eating memory on your card

yeah something like select + L would be fine i doubt there are any games that would need that combination
