Is doing something like this possible with that Save Data Filer program?

I'm essentially interested in doing the reverse of the official save data transfer tool.

Example:
I own a game on a cartridge, then buy the eShop version a while later. I use save data transfer to get the data over to that version.

After playing for a while, I decide I want to use Powersaves to give myself more items/money/whatever in my game. But obviously you can't use Powersaves on eShop saves.

So assuming I still have the cartridge (which I do for some titles like Pokémon), it would be super convenient if I could reverse the process so I could use Powersaves, then save data transfer again.

Is such a thing possible yet? I haven't had a chance to try any of this since I'm temporarily without a 4.x 3DS.

SaveDataFiler works with:

- Any ROM that still saves inside itself like Pokemon Y/X after beeing mounted
- Any Rom that stores Save like eShop Games
- Any eshop game that is installed to your SD Card
- Any converted .3ds to .cia (look at "user" too inside savedatafiler for the games ID)

SaveDataFiler does not work:

- outside Gateway Mode (no Classic Mode!)
- on Retail Games (because 3ds doesn't detect it in Gateway Mode)
- with Rom Games saving into .sav on SD Card

SaveDataFiler can provide you:

- Decrypted Savegames
- Possebility to modify Decrypted Savegames
- Importing decrypted Savegames
- Backing up EUR, import in USA Games >> PROOF

Transfer decrypted saves from different 3ds is not tested
(only got one 3ds, so i can't test it), but should work as long both uses GW.

So at least in the case of X/Y, I can go from the eShop version to the Gateway version?

If I use my retail dump as a 3DZ with the header, then I assume the save will work... but hmm, how to get it back to my retail cart...

And I'm wondering if it would be the old save encryption which doesn't work with Powersaves...

Pokemon Saves are unencrypted after backing up with savedatafiler and work with PKHex.

Backing up Card2 mounted roms: In SaveDataFiler @ ''User'' put your cursor on ''CTR Card'' and press ''Y''.

SaveDataFiler can restory saves, for Pokemon it would be by pressing ''L'' + ''A''.

So basically, I can put in my retail copy of X/Y and press L+A? Or am I misunderstanding here?

Can you do the same in reverse? I played a lot of picross from my GW, now if I install it via .cia, can I resume my progress somehow?
