Does anyone know how to fix a saving problem in Pokemon X? It crashed and won't boot now...

EDIT: I got it to boot, I had to corrupt the save file... I hope it was just a one time error :/

EDIT2: I can't save... If it means anything, I modified the RomFS. I reapplied the IVFC hashes though, and it boot fine, so I don't know...
Have you tried this?

I was reading that post and I was wondering if I understood that correctly (= it fixes Pokemon saving) or not

I'm getting a "ctrclient: failed to connect" when launching run.bat.. I wanna know where I went wrong..

Also, how do I know now that I'm on CFW, I saw the blue light at the top screen, then bottom screen flickered white and black then returned to main menu..

That's right. I guess your are in CFW Mode. So your 3DS is able to receive the gift (DevMenu)

About the connection, check your ip address, because i had this problem yesterday, and I configured manual IP on 3DS but i had some problem with the router and DHCP was putting other IP and don't accepting the IP that I configured :S

I put the DHCP IP and it worked.

Don't forget to put DevMenu_2x.cia at same folder of run.bat

Does anyone know how to change the unique id when converting a .csu into a .cia? There is no rsf file. Also, tell me if I'm right. I get errors when launching a 2nd app. Is it because my conversion is producing .cia files with the same unique id?

Installing over the network is rediculous, at over 40 boots and still no installation.

Boot CFW with L held -> Home menu, failed to connect (I have right IP)
Boot CFW with L held -> Home menu -> Internet Browser -> hit search -> crash

I really wish for one of two things:

- This CFW to be updated to install from SD on boot
- An open source devmenu alternative (for gateway users)

Why the CARD2 games are not saving on this CFW?
Most likely, because the functions used by the game to handle saving to a CARD2 style partition were not in use until a later kernel revision, and as a result, these functions are not able to be processed by the older kernel. In order to use saving in the intended fashion, we will need to increase the supported firmware updates, so we can use these new functions.

Or, in short, because this CFW has not been in the hands of those who wish to develop it for the community for a long enough period of time.

installed DevMenu yay!

Now on to 3DS to CIA conversion..
What did you do to get it to install? I have booted the device into L CFW mode 15 times, always failed to connect. Doing the browser trick just crashes the system before a page can load.

But Animal Crossing requires firmware 4.5 so it should work.

I just followed Gadorach's tutorial, mine works bout 2-3x of attempt..

here's the link if you want

I don't have access to mediafire, so I am useing the CFW from the front of this page (friend downloaded it for me and sent it to me)

I can ping my 3ds, editing run.bat to be 192.168.137.5 (my 3ds's IP) makes the 3ds wireless light flash twice, and the tool says "failed to connect"

I have run it over and over, booted over and over, tried turning wireless off and on again, nothing seems to work.

I'm curious what steps need to be changed in order to get a .nds original DS rom to work. The reason why I'm trying is to import Pokemon from Black and White 2, you need your 3DS to recognize the game inserted like a cartridge. But I'm thinking if you had it loaded up onto the homescreen as a CIA, Pokemon Bank might detect it.

I decrypted the ROM, but the problem I ran into was the files I ended up with were completely different than a .3ds. We should still be able to compile it into a CIA but I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

Did you hold L when enter in Profile Nintendo DS?

Wow, it is finally working. I moved closer to the router.

Now it turns out that you can't install anything but devmenu, I'm getting "Failed to allocate buffer for the input CIA."

I don't think I have seen this message in any other post. I wonder what the size limit is?

Trying Ocarina of Time cia now. The run.bat didn't reject it out of hand, and it appears to be sending.

Aparently the limit for network installs is somewhere between 512mb and 1.6gb
