Hacking [release] 3ds CFW-CIA Installer

I found a trick to ensure 100% success in launching the CFW.

Also I'm going to attempt to release a working open source version of the CFW.

no it won't its a 4.x exploit that doesnt exist in anything above 4.x

This happens when you try to load the launcher with the gateway exploit, that doesnt work. You need to use a different rop loader.

Well I tried a different rop loader and it does the same thing. Now DS mode is completely broken so I can't install any more loaders.

Interesting, what does it say when you are trying to install one?
If you can't do anything you need to format your 3ds to fix DS mode. (please note that this removes all the data from your 3ds)

You have to reformat your 3DS. This can happen sometimes when installing the rop loader.

Launching a flashcard or a regular DS game just gives me the "An error has occurred" "Press the power button to turn off" screen.

Assuming you did the other steps properly, yes. Booting it is unstable, so can take a few tries.

i think im doing everything.. lol
i have the files from 3ds_Stuff in the root of my SD card and then i boot the installed the gateway because i tried homebrew 4.x and it keeps booting me into an error had occurred then restarts. so i tried the gateway and the 3ds_stuff_cfw version and now i get the teal blue screen on top and most of the time i get white on bottim but it just hangs there and doesnt do anything.

Why do you need to download a demo on emunand if you are just going to overwrite it anyway?

Because the demo installs to the SD card, not the emuNAND partition, it creates some exdata on the SD card that allows the initial devmenu install to work properly.

what would happen if you did a system transfer from the cfw to a 4.5 3DS, wold you be able to load the dev menu on the sysnand? (which in turn gets copied over when formatting emunand)
