Only the bottom screen is important. If if flashes white then it worked and you're gonna go back into Home Menu after a few seconds. If it's black, you have to try again. If it stays white, you didn't insert your NAND correctly into your SD card.

On the first trial, it flashed. On the second trial, it didn't flash.

I think about 80% of the time you'll get stuck in a black screen and will have to power off the 3DS.

So is it possible to use my 9.2 Gateway emuNAND with this? I would like to install devmenu in my 9.2 emunand to install the new super mario bros dlcs. Thats actually the only thing I'm interested in.

This.

I only want to install the games on my emunand,
and launch them with GW.

Okay with Devmenu disappearing when on GW,
only interest is that the dl'ed games are there.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but what can this CFW do that Gateway can't, besides use devmenu and install ≤4.5 DLC?

But what doing exactly smealum homebrew launcher? Is like this cfw and Gateway but for all FW or its different?

i have r4i flashcard and 4.5 version 3ds

No gateway
how to install cfw
Help

This discussion has been had on the Homebrew Development thread a billion times but is stale because the piracy argument always pisses some devs off. But since here we're talking about a tool that enables piracy in the first place, and the people who might be willing to work on improving it, I must ask:

Why bother with an unstable CFW that could potentially even bug out and brick a console, and not instead use it to learn how to set up a virtual environment in which to host a secondary firmware, with NAND reads/writes redirected to the SD card, and game card slot reads/writes redirected to a ROM folder?

(Basically a community-made version of emuNAND that doesn't need a game card.)

ExFAT support could be added on the ROP loader.
