actually, I know exactly what to do ;D
but something like this can't be discussed publicly, because the first place it goes is google, where nintendo has a quick link to it.

I'll create a convo, just let me know if you want to be added.
(don't worry, I'm an underdog, I know how to stay private with good info) ;)

I still feel like a third wheel, I mean, I don't even have a 3DS,so, I couldn't help even though I want to.... :( A PM is a good idea...

but even so, with an IOSU exploit, once found, wouldn't it just be patched with an update??

Not if they don't know what to patch ;) that's the whole reason we're obfuscating the exploit before we release it, so anybody, nintendo included, who wants to use it will have to put in much more effort. We're not doing it because we're evil people and hate open source but we want the exploit to last.

But I thought the exploit was only on earlier firmware and that most of use who want to use it are screwed.

Nobody said that, I specifically stated in my FAQ thread and numerous other times that the kernel exploit isn't going to break or be patched anytime soon and that there are countless webkit bugs to find and exploit given how old the version they're using is. Nothing's stopping us from making a homebrew channel on the latest version.

then you prbly shouldn't be talking about this publicly :P

The exploit is an webkit exploit. And as far as the WiiU's browser goes, there are a ton of those.
So just using a non patched webkit exploit will work on all new firmware updates too. (Unless Nintendo fixes those inb4 or just removes the browser or something...)

The reason why it takes time is because of something called a ROP chain, which is kinda trail and error work iirc.

This, QFT :P

You sure you want to say that in the open? ;)

I'm being vague for a reason.

just rmbr, while they're not enemies, they can basically be considered an enemy force.
and also rmbr, they're smarter than we are, and prbly have a boatload of hackers on their side.

it's not smart to even vaguely mention what we do as it clues them in on patching what we do.

our kernel sploit is patchable as hell, what are you talking about? It's not patched yet though, if that's what you meant. That being said, an engineer at nintendo could fix it (like any other bug like it) in half a second and have it pushed out in that plus QA time. And that's what'll happen.
Maybe it's a good time to start brainstorming stuff for obfuscation, I dunno.

I'm not doing private conversations, for anyone who's curious. What's public is carefully worded and safe to be public. Everything else is private between the group. Nobody gets priority outside of that.

totally understandable, nobody wants a leak of a half finished product, that will end up being patched before it's finished

Have you guys gotten around to finding another webkit bug that would work on the Wii U?
(Still need to catch up XD)

It's all in the works. It'll be there when it's needed.

Also I think I'm gonna drop out of the public eye for a little while. I spend a lot of time just restating facts and I kinda just don't care any more. I'll be back when there's new stuff to talk about (or homebrew to be made). Tschüss for now.

I was just asking so I know if it would be pointless to try to get something to work :P

I know this will be an unpopular thing to ask, but is there an ETA for when this exploit will see the light of day ? two weeks (LOL), 8 months, maybe ?
