You need at least 1.5gb free on the BIG SD card in the 3DS. Not the mircrosd in the Red Gateway

Vengenceonu Thank you! it works perfectly now! If I were to ever update the firmware for gateway past 2.4, I just have to swap launcher.dat correct?

Does this new emunand 9.0 force an SD greater then 4GB?

I have always used a 4 GB SD that came with my 3ds and im fine....

Yes hes rite it seems to work the best with the 4GB SD Card that came bundled with the 3DSXL or 3DS for some reason but I cant remember if mine did with the 3DS because I had an 8GB put in!

apparently i need an SD OVER 4 GB? .-.
that's mildly depressing. no work around or do i have to go out and buy an 8 gb sd tomorrow .-.

I use the 4 GB SDHC card, that came with my 3DSXL and everything is fine, you do NOT need a card over 4GB for either 9.0 emunand or Smash4, you only need enough free space on your SD for Smash4 to work

4gb or over, for smash. 2gb is too small, 4 is ok.

I get a black screen when booting Super Smash Bros 3ds and I can't play.
I have a SD CARD 4gb with 3,7gb of free space !
Have you a suggestion or a idea ?
thanks !

If it's a 4GB SD card with 3.7GB of free space, it's clear that you're either not running EMUNAND or you're talking about the wrong SD card.

It's OK emunand not running. So I have insert a SD CARD 2gb with Launcher.dat only and Super Smash Bros 3DS not running ! which problem ?

Your 3DS needs at least a 4GB SD card containing your Launcher.dat and the updated Emunand.
ok ! i have too a SD CARD 4gb with Launcher.dat only on the SD CARD (so the free space is 3,9 Gb ?? because the size of Launcher.dat is 4,2Mb ! ?)
My explorator windows say :
capacity : 3,69Go
free space : 3,67Go
FAT

the SD card is not a SDHC ! it's a problem ? (i use a microSDHC 4gb with an adapter microSD)

What? I thought all SDs over 2GB were SDHC... Anyway install the latest Emunand on it and Smash Bros should work fine.

no, there are 4 GB SD cards, too, however they are a scetchy thing, some devices, that only support SD and not SDHC won't recognize them properly and it can make trouble, SDHC devices fully support them, though
they are a rare breed, but they do exist
