Hacking Play NDS games with Gateway

Hi,

I'm pretty this has been answered already so sorry for not searching and for asking.

Along .3ds, can gateway run .nds games ? Can we put both .3ds and .nds on the same microsd card ?

Subsidiary question: I've seen plenty of VC games recently that work but some still refuse to launch. I suppose the ones that work have been patched somehow. is this something that can be done easily ?

With the blue cart you can play nds games and with the red cart 3ds games. But if you installed the gateway exploit and start a nds game or flashcart, you need to reinstall the exploit.

GW's Red card cannot play NDS games.
And there is no way around this presently. [referring to having NDS on red card]
(you can simply play NDS games with the Blue card provided)

VC games that won't work probably are the GBA games.
I don't think there is a way around those presently as well.


Anyone else with better info, feel free to correct me.

Well then, not worth playing the NDS games if I have to reinstall the exploit.
Luckily I still have those NDS with DSOne cards.

As for VC games, correct, I believe all non working titles are GBA titles.

I see that playing around with rom on a 3ds is still a lot of pain.

The gateway exploit is a .NDS file.

For install this one, you use blue card, launch the exploit in the same way as a .NDS ROM, and it only takes a few seconds

It's no more restrictive than that
You can easily play with NDS games and reinstall the exploit after that.

The only difference is that if you don't play NDS games, the gateway exploit remains installed when you boot the 3DS.
