So I had two 3ds's. One legit updated one that i was playing my eshop downloaded pokemon y. I backuped everything that was on the sd card of my legit 3ds. Then i have my gateway 3ds which i updated today to emunand 8.x. I did a system transfer from my legit to my gateway 3ds then redownloaded pokemon y from the eshop. Every time I start the game it doesnt read my save. Is there any way for me to retrieve the save from my legit SD card backup?

I've also had the exact same issue with a few of my games, I haven't tried yet but it might be possible to move the save across manually.

pretty sure the saves should of been transferred during the system transfer, you cant just copy them from one console to another as the save is encrypted to be unique to the console it came from

also you will likely have space wasted on the SD card as all the content you transferred to the new console will not be read by the new 3ds anyway

iirc the issue is that there is a point in the transfer process where you need to switch the SD from the old console to the new one.......this part cannot be completed properly as emunand is running from the SD

did the system crash when you got to that point?

No the system transfer worked fine actually
im pretty sure the save should of transferred fine.....but im not sure maybe they are transferred using the valid 6.x encryption so unless gateway release a update to accept valid 6.x encrypted saves your save will be unusable

i was sure ages ago (back when 6.x was the latest version) when people did the system transfer it asked you to swap the sd cards at one point which is where it would fail(the actual transfer happened though but all the content needed to be re-downloaded)......maybe im just imagining thing though, i have never do a system transfer myself so im not exactly sure of what it involves

Actually my content did have to be redownloaded from eshop but I don't remember it asking to switch sd cards or giving an error. I also have all the data from my old 3ds's sd card backed up

Hi, I did a System Transfer from my original 3DS to Gateway emuNAND today, which worked absolutely fine. The Problem is that I lost my save of my eshop downloaded Super Mario 3D Land. Do you know why and if I can restore it somehow?? This game does definitley NOT have the 6.X encryption, thats why I thought the save would still be there... Of course I copied all files from my old SD to the Gateway SD.
Thanks for your help!
