But at some point the game turn amazeballs, sure that wait is not justifiable in any way but i got through it and i loved it.

On it being too soon... are we not in 2014 where new mobile phones come out every year and, give or take this last go around, massively improve year on year? Is this phone lark not the same one that enticed quite a few developers away (licensed and homebrew), sliced out a fair chunk of the userbase (actual and potential) and is otherwise posing a serious threat to positions from things related to the previous two?

If you answered no then you are wrong, if you answered yes then the solution to gaining competitors is to get competitive, that or ninja attack but that is hard to pull off well if you do not have basic online infrastructure, doubly so when your enemy is Google.

3ds still has no games though.

Edit. As for FF13 turning "amazeballs"... are you sure that was not some combination of Stockholm syndrome and battered spouse syndrome?

What do you mean? The 3DS does have a front facing camera... I've even used it in at least one DSiware title...

FF7 isn't all that great either - it was the game that introduced whiny Squeenix characters we know and hate. To be fair though, I like both it and its setting.

The "New 3DS" that Nintendo is going to release is going to be a little different than the current 3DS.

+Faster CPU
+MicroSD slot in the battery compartment
+Near Field Communication ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_field_communication )
+Wider-range 3D
+Another (smaller) circle pad
+ANOTHER set of left and right buttons (ZL/ZR)
+Replaceable shells

I have a 3DS and 3DSXL and both have the 2nd analog stick addons so why would I get this?
Maybe for the NFC but as nothing uses it and you cant use it with Skylanders then again why would I get this?

The system itself will be stronger then all previous 3ds models to the point where they can make games that only work on the new systems.

I dont buy games on the 3DS anymore as most games these days are cross platform so we get them on the Vita instead as it looks better.
the 3DS for me is just an expensive alarm clock as thats what its getting used as. I'm not going to pay hundreds for another alarm clock.

And its not the hardware that needs fixing its the games. I have a heap of games that can do with updates especially FPS ones where the 2nd analog would make it a lot better.
They can release patches so start releasing them so more than 5 games have the 2nd analog support. Maybe if more games supported the 2nd analog would make this new 3DS popular but if you check it out there is only 5 or so games so adding a 2nd analog is kinda useless. And adding it to the 3DSLL only? WTF? Add it to both consoles would've been a lot better.

I understand but for me playing my DS games with a circle pad made a huge difference in my desision of buying a 3ds when the 3ds didn't have a lot of good games during launch window.

My issue with the 3D aspect is that the current version of the 3DS has it at a very narrow angle. So I could be playing a game and if it moves slightly in either direction it causes shifting of the image which makes the experience uncomfortable. It's great for watching 3D videos where I can place the console on something flat and unmoving, but when holding the thing and playing games, it moves around slightly and this is enough for me to be forced to keep 3D off. I can hope the new version will resolve this.
