It is certainly worth a go. I have had more chuckles in this game than any other game. But it is a "life sim" type game, and probably not for everyone.

My Friend Code changed when I clicked the smiley icon I don't know why. My Mii Plaza population turned 0. Puzzle Swap and Find Mii 1 and 2 reset back to beginning. All hats lost.

For people who find their 8.1 emuNAND isn't booting, it worth waiting for a minute or so. That might sound obvious, but I've had occasions where it had taken 30 seconds+ for the dash to actually appear. At first I thought it would not boot.

I think people are entitled to be upset about 2.3 forcing a cart check and inconveniencing people owning legitimate carts. Gateway are within their right to combat clones, but it's a shame when legit owners with legit usages are caught in the crossfire.

It's not always black and white with clones and fakes. I have a legit Gateway cart, but I remember ordering it praying that the website wouldn't send me a fake. I was so relieved when I opened my parcel and it was a legit Gateway. Others aren't so lucky.

Tomodachi Life or emuNAND?

Tomodachi Life is quite funny. But if you do not like Animal Crossing, you will not like this game.

I just saw my two suitors (people I know) throwing NES and virtual boys at each other. This may be over me, but I am not sure.

Funny thing, I didn't like ACNL, but TomoLife I love it.

Problems i found till now:
1) Often, emunand doesn't boot. It hangs on a black screen. On standard 3ds, the 3d led should turn off while booting emunand, but when it hangs, 3d led stays on, so i think that emunand booting doesn't even begin... Solution: Force Power Off

2) Sometimes, emunand boot times are too long, about 30 seconds. Solution: wait. My suggestion is, on standard 3ds, to check if 3d led is on or off. If it's off, then it's loading emunand, else it just failed to boot and you have to power off your 3ds.

3) After opening Youtube application, it asked me to remove video viewing limitation from family filter, so it redirected me on Settings>Family Filter. After removing it, i came back to setting's homescreen and then tapped Close Settings. After that, it said SD Card removed. I skipped it by pressing A button and it went back to sysnand. After reloading GW exploit, i went into Emunand's settings and checked if family filter limitations were gone away they still be there. Had to remove it again, but that time there wasn't any SD Card removed error after exiting settings and this time, it saved new family filter settings. I don't know if you can reproduce that...

what SD card is your standard 3ds using, the default 2GB is pretty slow with read/write speeds, this used to cause quite a few issues on my standard 3ds with emunand not booting/taking a while to boot, it seems 2.3 makes this happen a bit more frequently now.....if your using the default SD card i suggest maybe getting a replacement SD card for the 3DS with better read/write speed, i know on the old 2.2 it got the freezing/crashing on booting emunand down to like 1/10 compared to like 4/10 boots with the original 2GB card....so im pretty sure most crashes etc are probably down to SD card speeds

I bought a second hand 3ds without standard SD Card included, so i'm sure that i'm using another one. I'm using a Samsung 4GB class 4 SDCard and it worked fine till now. For example, in 2 months with Omega firmware, it didn't load emumand only one time. So it works pretty well. Can you try to reproduce SD Card removed error. Just add family filter limitations and then open youtube. It will ask to remove family filter, so you do that and you close settings.

i know the smiley icon on top, like orange box right?
i dunno what cause your Friend code to change
but mine didn't and still has all of my friends code
i never tried Mii Plaza so i'm sorry i can't help you
but i guess since my FC is fine, the problem is not in GW 2.3

I have tested it so far quite thoroughly and found no issues everything that is suggested works. OK it does hang a bit on loading emunand but it always has and it only seems to be the first time you boot up 8x updated after that the rest of the boot ups seem OK.

I know it's in gateway mode because it will let me choose roms still

you dont have emunand set up.....you need to pick format emunand from the gateway menu.....this will format your SD card so backup all your SD contents before choosing the format emunand option

PS dont try updating until you have emunand set up and confirm its done properly by seeing the GW3D in system settings

It looks like you have not created an Emunand yet you need to create one. Hold on be back with you

just to clarify "gateway mode"(where you can pick roms) and "emunand"(the thing that lets you update to a newer FW version) are 2 separate things, so you probably never had emunand set up as it isnt really needed to use roms, but it is needed to run the newer FW version without updating the system nand version
