if i remember right it has some text output ^^

I have tried several times now with the other version. It loads up now, but it always gets stuck near the end of the process. I know that it is supposed to take a while, but one time I left it running and came back to it 1 hour and 35 minutes later and it still was not finished. It always seems to get stuck around the 660 second mark and the Bytes Read, Seconds, and ETA do not change after that. Am I doing something wrong? I am also using a 32 GB micro SD card in an adapter, the same one that I use for my DSTwo. Should the program be the only file on the root of the micro SD card? Or does it not work with dumping data from certain software? The software that I last used before trying to make the first FCRam dump was the Mii Maker and the second time it was Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. The 3DS that I am using is running firmware 4.1.

I don't feel like reading nearly 100 pages... Does anyone know if someone coded a file manager yet? Or a savegame manager that would let me manage the saves in the SD?

If i'm not mistaken, it's a SD driver for 3DS, in either NDS mode or 3DS mode with topped 3MB limit. But uses the internal SD reader (glued to the same addresses a protection unit has assigned to this hardware vector interrupt controller), tied to the ARM_whatever interrupt vectors..

Nice! Just wondering, wich is MsetForBoss.dat?
Its just an alternate name you can use for homebrew, changed with single byte in the rop chain. You can have a Launcher.dat (flashcard) and Msetforboss.dat (homebrew) on the SDMC at the same time, which can be convenient.

I didn't visit 3DBrew in a while and today I found some interesting thing's...
http://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/3DS_Virtual_Console
It seems GBA VC it's only a .3DS application with GBA code and with some parameters for launch AGB_FIRM, someone know something about this?
And also are added:
http://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/3DS_exploits#System_flaws
I don't understand it at all but it seems they are kernel mode ways for running unsigned code ;/

We can extract a .CIA of a VC Game and reverse it, what you think ?

Well, i think we can download the GBA VC in .3DS, maybe the key is just 00000, i don't know to be honest... but we can try extract it, after it, i can try reverse and understand how it work :D

smealum hey little guy, do you know if GBA VC Games(.3DS) use key like .CIA(just 000...) ?

When playing Pokémon X/Y via ROM, is there a tool for extracting and restoring the savegame from the ROM? Because having to copy the whole 2 GB ROM over doesn't seem really practical.

Try CardTwo Save Tool (sorry don't remember where I got it)

It only backs up the NAND save and you're allowed to reflash it later should you need it.

Thanks for the response and the screenshots. So this SD driver could be used to write a file manager?

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for!

I was wondering, has anyone wrote some code to interact with thr aes engine? I'm not really friendly with the io registers. I've seen time ago someone who posted some basic piece of code, but it has been removed in less than a day, probably for piracy. I'd like this to improve my studyes on the hb scene.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
